New ebay users???
 

Hey Guys,
I have been selling some high dollar items with local pickup, nearly 100% of the winning bidders are brand new to ebay and because of the rarity of these items, it makes sense, google may have directed them to my item, they open an account and bid...

BUT
I have watched a slew of buyers the past two days, about half of my buyers this week have less than 5 feedback, many have zero feedback and have registered the same day they bought.

Anyone else seeing a significant surge in new ebay buyers?

Havnt seen it myself. At least not on my auctions.
but I suppose it really depends on the type of item youre selling.

I think it is season christmas buyers who are not normally active but the brand new users is odd to me. I just sold a $230.00 used item. They registered on the 21st...

I do get an upturn in new users around this time of year.

It tends to be people that have checked out with a guest account and do not actually use eBay, but by doing this eBay creates them an account.

Only happens with BIN's though

Good point, almost all of these are on BIN, this past week.
So the conclusion is X-Mas shoppers.

Yep, even sometimes i buy from ebay with gues account. Tho i do have plenty of account s ;)
