I created my account over a month ago and got 10/500. I am not based in the US.

I started out selling cheap stationery with free shipping and I got a few sales but no one seem to be interested even though I am practically giving away my items. Maybe because it takes 2 weeks to get to the US.

So I called ebay and asked for an increase and they gave me 100/5000.

Anyway, I start selling my dresses that I use to sell on my suspended account.
All of them are below my competitors price but they are not selling.

I don't know if my 2 feedback is scaring everyone away?

I am thinking of purchasing some cheap items from a wholesaler in the USA and list them. I was also looking for a forwarder or fulfillment center to pick and ship these for me. But the price is not worth it.

Can you think of anything else I can do apart from purchasing $5 feedback from fiverr?

I think a lot has to do with the shipping times, buyers are not patient and want the item as soon as they pay

Sometimes people need to vent.

Or need advice so they can change their listing etc

Ebay are systematically hiding and manipulating what is shown on searches. It is well known and is written in to their user agreement they can do this. It can be frustrating when it's your turn to be 'switched off'

If your not located in the US. you need to change your flag to the Country your located in.

2 weeks, well there's your problem.....are you being honest on your listings about where the product is located? probably not.

We don't know exactly what your selling nor can anyone really tell you why your item isn't selling, only you can answer that question.

These things should be worked out BEFORE selling....not while your selling.

This is the lazy way and you may get linked. You have no idea if the fiverr seller has used the same IP on giving others feedback.

However, I heard that TRS get check more often for stealth account. I have not start using stealth account yet. Can someone please let me know if I am wrong?

TRS does nothing IMO. I personally dont want TRS and make sure I am always just below on shipping fees. I make less money as TRS and it is a PITA.

Agreed! TRS is a POS. It does nothing IMO for me or my account. I sold out of inventory on 4 of my stealth accounts this weekend. I was up til 5am Sunday night (Monday morning) printing labels. It was by far one of my busiest weekends. None of the accounts were TRS.

This is the one time of the year where price does not really matter, but SPEED does.

If you have someone in another country that can get an item to you in 2 weeks
for 20 bucks

vs

A US seller that charges 29.99 + free 2 day shipping

many people will go with the latter.

Time sensitive parcels and xmas coming up like a cheetah make people want it last year. :juggle:

When does this really come into effect? ALL my listings offer free shipping just to protect myself from bad DSR as I know people knock this the most. Obviously I would LOVE to benefit from what your saying. I've kept this in mind and do also offer over night shipping BUT of course this is calculated, I can't offer free for that haha.

I'm getting excited for whats to come! I have never been this entrenched into eBay as I have this year, so this is all new for me.

Also is there a time you cut off shipping your products? I've heard past the 10th of Decemeber we will experience MAJOR delays and of course if a package comes late, the buyer doesn't care if its not your fault and will do EVERYTHING to see you closed down. I ship USPS priotry mail for all my items...

USPS ships sunday now apparently too so that helps!

For me, I tend to raise my prices during this time of year.

When I get some of the hottest items for the year, and I can get it to the buyer within my stated time when the stores are sold out, my sales spike even when I raise my prices to the competition. but then again, it depends on the product you are selling.

They had a toy craze around 2 years ago and I had 10 left in stock. I raised the prices around $30 above retail to keep the account active thinking they wouldn't sell and they still sold within 2 days. :doh:

I know a lot of members here have a cut off date, but I usually keep selling unless I run out of stock, and I prepare for that over the summer :bounce:

Capitalize everyday you can IMO. Sleep next year and hire package stuffers. Focus on the transactions.

If U.S. buyers were happy to wait 2 weeks for a product, from out of the country no less, I'd be living in Costa Rica right now, really!........seriously, most people are way too hinkey and impatient to do that...IMO.

BigCJ and Yankee do you guys experience increased delays after the 10th? How do you ship your products (generally speaking)?

Right now my life is listing/shipping/forum. haha.
