Default Someone send me a message and asked if it's genuine 10 mins after I listed.

Hello guys,

I listed on brand new account gucci bag and some guy send me a message few minutes after listed is confirmed if my bag is genuine, the weirdest thing here is how the hell did he send me a msg when it takes up to 12 hours to show on Ebay, when I tried to find my self i couldn't on few PC's and even with few IP's from different countires.

It just weird how he could send me a msg about my bag when its not even seenable to customers.

if anyone can answer that i will appericate that so much! thx!

Your listing a super high risk item on a brand new account? how old is the account, and how many feedbacks does the account have?

You most likely got the message from an ebay agent.....

Maybe im being a bit Miss Marple here.....but ive always believed that ebay have workers set up with accounts so they can do these things :-)

But.of.course...it.could be a.genuine buyer. Who knows

It's very possible that it came from a regular buyer, not all listings are held for 12-24 hours

I get windows where eBay seems back to normal and I'll list an item and immediately start getting watchers

This past weekend my one account was selling great, I must of got lucky and that window of visibility was opened for two days

I had a $105 item listed it as BIN listing and noticed that the views and Watchers were increasing right away and I was selling them so fast, it felt like a year ago if I had 100 of them it would of all sold in a couple hours but I only had 20 and sold all of them within 2 hours of putting the listing up

So it most likely is a normal Buyer and you just got lucky with getting your listing viewed quickly , and for a top Brand like GUCCI , that is probably a very common question

On a side note as soon as the weekend ended the listing Visibility on my one account this week went back to normal , I dropped the price to $99 and sold only one from Monday to today, and listed them as Auctions and having trouble getting to $85

I would love to know the thinking behind this craziness they are doing

I had my first 2 items listed on a brand new ( 0 feedback, 2 day old) account start last night ,and they showed up in 15 minutes.......so, it's very possible it was a regular buyer.

I am getting bids within one minute on two of my accounts. Other are taking 18 hours....

$0.99 auctions and BIN over $400.00 are getting great visibility in general right now. Everything else is account to account. I have one account that sucks. No idea why. Gona list junk items on it to see what happens.

I sold a pretty werid item within minutes of listing it. This was on a account that actually just got a increase in limits 100 --> 190 (no price increase). I was tempted to ask how the buyer searched for the item but didnt.

All went well and he left postive feedback, yet still it was odd. Glad to see others with the same issue? lol.. Not sure if its a issue, its a good thing, just strange! Haha

P.S Now I have a item I listed past 12 hours still not showing up on a different account. This makes me worried a little bit.. but could be just its thanksgiving, alot of sellers listing etc etc.

Today, items are selling within ten minutes! Only working on one account. 100% international buyers and I am asking A LOT

I have another account I am trying to work on and for some reason it sucks. No idea why. If it was not such a PITA to end the listings and move over to another account today I would.
It is auctions and should end well on Sunday night anyways. Just not sure why this one account never gets traction..

Good job Yankee

My less aged accounts I don't accept international shipping just to protect myself from buyers. I haven't seen much a change just yet but obviously it depends on what your selling. I have seen increase in sales this past week though.

Yep same here I been working on this one account I have this whole week it has some High limits, and it's the first time in a while that I concentrated on one account

It's been so crazy, last weekend , Saturday and Sunday I have an item listed it as a BIN listing and within 2 hours I sold 20 of them

And Monday came the window just passed and when I resisted the same item not one BIN listing sold , so I listed many auctions all week

Than all of a sudden today about 3 hours ago that window opened where I guess my listings are visible and I had 10 listed all week and not one sale and all 10 sold in that one hour

My listings are all Domestic just 48 States, but it's just so crazy what they are doing with listing visibility

They must have it controlled somehow, where they won't let an account stay hot for two long, they allow a listing to sell sometimes and pull the plug on it and than you get no sales

It's like every once in a while the eBay from Last year comes back and than disappears as fast as it came

It's been like this for a long time now , which made me change the way I sell and I'll use many accounts just because you only get so much visibility per account

Also you can see it's not random when one day all of a sudden I'll make 20 sales in the same location in IOWA and than the next day every sale will be from Texas

It drives me nutts to why they can't just leave it alone

Working on the same account, BIN no longer get visibility instantly. Was selling in ten minutes before noon, now not a view ten hours later...BUT I get bids on auctions withing minutes....

So strange. It will significanlty effect how I run auctions next week. I wanted to run 24 hour auctions hundreds of times day over dozens of accounts. It does not sound like this may be the best tactic now. Might have to loose the first two days and only run three day auctions. Sucks for my shippers who get paid by the piece. They loose two days worth of work :(
