Default Second Chance Offer lead me to MC999

Recently I am having a string of bad buyers.
I have got buyers setting in too.

Yesterday night this women won 2 items from me.
She messaged me that she only wanted one.
I said okay pay for the other one.

The auction price was good so I gave second chance offer to others.

Woke up to MC999 email.
eBay wanted proof of inventory. Funny thing was, not my ID but wanted proof of inventory.

Since these were my personal collection I have no invoice. I just had to send some pictures.

This happen to one of my other accounts and when I sent some pictures they reinstated my account.

What i notice for these accounts to be trigger off was
Second chance offer

Seriously, if buyers are going to waste time then we should be allowed to offer these to the next higher bidder.

How long ago was the issue on your other account? I wonder if this a UK thing or if its for all of us. I don't use auctions myself that much, but its good to know, thanks!

This is why I try to stay away from auctions. It really bothers me getting those types of buyers who simply don't give a sh!t and just bid on your items...and expect you to bend over backwards to provide them with A++ customer service. These buyers I hate. They take full advantage of every eBay/Paypal policy they have. Urgh...

I feel your pain

I know.

The issue with my other account only lasted about 24 hours.
I did sent the pictures

But my point is. Keep away from Second chance offers on a stealth account.
Just have to see if this account is toasted.

Yep. When did this occur on your other account though? Has it been in the past week or month?

I'm a little hestiant to think it applies to USA for instance, or Austrualia because we all deal with eBay/Paypal a little different, you know? Until we see more members say the same thing, I'd be a little hestiant to say never do second chance offers....

Say within 2 weeks apart.

These are not linked in any way. Different items.

Would you consider the item high risk e.g. vero, counterfeit, etc?

Nope.

The items are used. So that can't be the issue

What i just read in one of the other thread.
Got MC999 for using stock picture.

I used some stocks pics too.
Guess with eBay anything is impossible.

Would have to wait it out.

I use second chance offers a lot during the Holidays last year and never had an issue

Last year was great, there was a loophole that is now closed, but you once were able to list as many second chance offers as you had bidders per item like now but they always allowed you to list the item and it didn't matter what your limits were.

So say you had only $1000 left you were able to list $2000 or whatever in second chance listings

Now if u did it on a regular account they would eventually take them down within one hour after listing them

But on TRS accounts they never took them down, it was so great last December , I had an account that was TRS for 5 months straight but only had 100/5000 limits

So I listed 100 Auctions starting at .99 and I was selling an item that the auctions ended at $200 sometimes more sometimes little less

Anyway after all the auctions were done I sold 100items and 20K so I was well over the limit

Now with all those Auctions I was able to send out sometimes 4-6 second chance Auctions per item, sometimes 5 people were within one dollar of the winning bid so I was able to sell another 5 second chance items per one of the original listing and make $1000 more from just one listing

Now some I was only able to sell 1 or 2 second chances because the buds would be $199, $198, and $105 so Id send just two

But anyway last year I loved second chance Listings in December, and like I said you used to be able to list them on any account despite limits but only TRS accounts were left to sell

I only found second chance offering good during December though, if I'd try it any other month Id rarely get someone to accept it, December there are so many buyers that need that holiday gift that almost every offer Id send the buyer would accept

This year , you can't even get the listing up unless you have enough limits, which is not even worth doing during the holidays because your just wasting valuable time , on an item your not sure would sell or not, so for me Id rather get a new listing going than do a second chance

I really miss eBay just a year ago
