Second Chance Offers count towards limits

Hello Fellow Stealthers!
So, I far and away sold past my limits tonight on a few accounts. Had some duplicate items and as usual, was going to pick up an extra sale or two via second chance offers.
I used to do this regularly but now it tells me I have reach my limits... Since when has this been happening?

Re: Second Chance Offers count towards limits

Last December i doubled what my limits were , second chance offers were great, I tried a month ago and noticed that it takes away from your limits

I believe they changed that with the last update in August.

Just a question on second chance offers.
Is there a time in seller history when second chance offer will be available?

I have 2 accounts both more than one year old and both with aroud 50 positive feedbacks but I do not have the "second chance offer" option for my auctions...

Is there a reason?

These are available for quite some time after an auction ends - up to 90 days if I recall correctly.

When you go to the listing detail page you do not see it? under the "Marked as shipped" etc options?

No, I have several options like leave feedback, mark as shippend... but not hte second chance offer even if it was an auction and I had several bidders.

I had it last year on the personal account I lost. That's why I was wondering if the Second Chance Offer is triggered by something like feedbaks or age of the account.

Re: Second Chance Offers count towards limits

Hmm that is odd - no, not triggered from what I see - I have it on all my auctions...all platforms...regular feature

Re: Second Chance Offers count towards limits

Does it have to be selected/enabled somewhere when filling the auction form?

Re: Second Chance Offers count towards limits

Great news is that it is the first of the month and the rest of limits will allows me to send out a slew of second chance offers!

Re: Second Chance Offers count towards limits

Second chance offers have eaten up limits for the month yankee so be careful of having ones open when you have listings to do

Re: Second Chance Offers count towards limits

It used to be great during the holidays, but now that it counts against your limits, I wouldn't use them, I'd rather run a bunch of auctions that end over my selling limit than do one second chance offer for say $100 , with a .99 cents auction you could potentially run 100 auctions for $10,000 than one second chance for $100

Re: Second Chance Offers count towards limits

For me, second chance offers only work if sent instantly right after the sale. This no longer will work for stealth and me, at least not how I am operating stealth accounts with 90-9000/100-10000

I had an account that sold 2x it limits via auctions, ebay added the 21 day hold, paypal has not limited the account. I am surprised. I am running five more auctions ending tomorrow. Those five will add $2500-3000 Maybe paypal is not getting limited because of the low transaction number?

Re: Second Chance Offers count towards limits

It all depends on the account , last December I was able to sell 187 items and ,$19K on an account with limits of 100/5000 using second chance offers, the eBay account was TRS account for 5 months straight at that point

But when I tried second chance offers on other accounts even powerseller accounts that were not TRS after a half hour they would pull the offers if it was over my limits

So depending on the account will determine how much you can get away with, that's the on reason I liked TRS accounts, I was mad they closed that second chance offer up, I was planning on using that this month all well

I am going to milk this account. Looks like I may get 30K from it or more with no limitation. Wont be close to 150 items but may hit 100

Do what you have to do knowing what might happen.

Push the boundaries as much as you can.

If funds got frozen(They shouldn't because I have yet to receive a tax information request), I do have an unused EIN numbers ready too along with the fact I have no intention of withdrawing any funds until next year anyhow.

Re: Second Chance Offers count towards limits

Second chance offers are essential to selling an item if you have a non-paying bidder.

I don't really see why these limits are technically "counted" if the buyer hasn't paid. Bad implementation on eBay's part IMO..

They are counted as long as they are active from what I see so...plan accordingly
