eBay - Your eBay Shop will be closed - out of nowhere?
 

Was calling up to get some defects looked into then put on hold for about 30 minutes in total.

About 15 mins in notice i have an email from eBay saying;
Your eBay Shop will be closed

Here's what happened:

Your eBay Shop will be closed on 01 January 2015. When you closed your Shop, you chose to:

Unsubscribe from Sales Report Plus
Your auction listings will continue until they end.

What you should know:

Your Shop settings will be saved for 30 days, so if you change your mind, it's easy to reopen your Shop.

Didn't notice this untill about 15 mins later while still on hold (suprise suprise) so ended the call straight away and re-subscribed to my shop which it let me.

Questions is what the **** was that all about, had a search and couldn't find a single person with this weird email???

Is this an incoming ban, or just some weird glitch in their system?

This was following a CALL to eB - did you speak to an agent live? Or just waiting on phone and hang up...

I spoke to 1 agent live who then put me on hold awaiting the escalation department of which i got the email as i said 15 min into hold didnt notice for another 15 mins.

As soon as i noticed i hung up the phone (was still on hold) resubscribed to the eBay shop and have had no emails since ?!?!?!

Weirdest **** ever.

Surely, if they were to ban me they would just do that outright as i have had before after calling up (they just requested documents etc etc)?

Since the call, which ended over an hour ago nothing, no more emails, nothing !?!

eBay really is special.

Your account likely got flagged by the agent and the manual review ended with closure :(

This is where i'm confused, i have NOT received any notification about a restriction, ban or anything related to my account apart from that weird email?

I only literally received that weird email and eBay shop closed and nothing else?

Was able straight away to re-open the shop and have heard nothing since?

All my listings are still up and account appears to be ok at the moment.

Can you pay monthly store fee with PayPal or CC only?
