| Hottest_eBay_Goddess | 11-07-2008 07:59 PM | Creating Backup Accounts: Does anyone make them with anything other than dial-up? I was just wondering. I use dial-up to make mine, but was wondering if someone uses a different, faster method.
Thanks.

lukeyangcn | 11-08-2008 02:56 AM | hi I use cable internet because dial-up is not available in my building. rogers has made all home phone digital around the whole area. |
helpme1 | 11-08-2008 03:19 AM | I find using dial up is much better and ebay can't track you so easy then but if you use cable modem or dsl..it may have a same ip address all the time in which ebay uses to track you. I think it is called a static ip or dynamic where your ip constantly stays the same but with dial up your ip address constantly changes. |
pinkharo | 11-08-2008 03:45 AM | Another way is a VPN (virtual private network), gives you a new ip everytime you log in. |
helpme1 | 11-09-2008 02:32 AM | How much does VPN usually cost in the USA? |

brandon1984 | 11-09-2008 10:28 PM | if you have wireless internet all you have to do is hit the reset button on your wireless router and BAM, new ip address |

-HeG | I'm in a fairly small town of only about 30k..... but I guess it is possible. I know a lot of people on here use libraries and that's seems more risky to me. |

aking | 11-11-2008 01:39 PM | I just connected my wireless router and modem to the outlet that the light switch is wired to in the room. Everytime I leave the room to take a break working between accounts I make sure I flip the switch off so when I return and turn it on I will have a fresh IP address, switch user accounts and I'm good to go.
I just hate that you have to wait like 5-10 mins for it to configure your new IP address and get a new connection. |
Burst | 11-12-2008 06:14 AM | Or change the routers MAC address in settings... Cables MUCH better IMO. Just keep your accounts seperate |
lukeyangcn | 11-15-2008 01:07 AM | yeah I change router's MAC address. and I got a fixed ip associated to a MAC address 99% the time.
Anyone tried bell unplugged portable internet or rogers portable internet? do you get a new ip everytime yo connect? or still need to change MAC address ?
thanks. |
x2ruff4u | 11-15-2008 04:59 AM | If I were you people I would stop the wirless mac router ip change. After all my accounts I have some linking still out of 5, 2 get linked and banned cause I did that. I used up all my ip's. But thats just 32842309489234 accounts banned |

You do know that a VPN is not a proxy right ?
You do know that some of the biggest companies in the world use VPN's for their staff to securely log into their accounts from around the world right ? I am awaiting my ban and this post being deleted by Modee, the self proclaimed guru of ebay...LMFAO :D |
yaw1800 | 11-17-2008 05:21 PM | im not saying his insults are justified, but he's right about the IP/Mac info .. but i dont know where Modee made a mistake on this either ..
EVERYONE SHOULD REMEMBER THOUGH, WE ARE ALL HERE FOR THE SAME CAUSE, SO LET'S HONE OUR NEGATIVITY TOWARDS EBAY/PAYPAL AND NOT AGAINST EACH OTHER |
aspkin | 11-17-2008 06:10 PM | I agree with Yaw1800. This is a place to learn about eBay suspensions and Paypal limited accounts. We can disagree with other members and I wholeheartedly encourage new perspective of things, but we can not insult them while doing so.
