| | | ebaypowerseller | 12-15-2014 06:30 PM | The best items to sell on eBay Ok, I am not asking anyone to tell us exactly what type of items they are selling, that would essentially be giving away trade secrets.
All I would like to know is what type of products in general is everyone selling?
Electronics?
Toys?
Clothes?
Jewelry?
Home goods?
This is just my curiosity taking control. I'd love to hear some success stories. |
Re: The best items to sell on eBay a**********r, that's what I sell. Great success. |

I sell dreams! I want to turn dreams into reality! |

No one wants to share what they sell, and rightly so. After all if they say 'toys' that may leads you to stumble into their niche |
| yankee | 12-15-2014 07:51 PM | Re: The best items to sell on eBay I have been very open about what I sell and how I handle certain ebay businesses. It seems to have bit me in the rear and not in a competitive way. I will be extra cautious in the future. |

| ilcarletto | 12-16-2014 02:59 AM | Re: The best items to sell on eBay Title is different from what you are asking.
Best items to sell might be different from what me or others are selling.
For my country, for example, best items to sell are probably cellpones or hi-tech electronics, but... I am not selling those. See the difference?
iPhones and similars sells very well but difficult to manage for a new seller and a lot of drawbacks.
I sell few things that doesn't sell very well in my country but sells well somewherelse. I am expert in this field and confortable in selling it. I make just the money I need.
...see what I mean? |
| just_smile | 12-16-2014 04:45 AM | Re: The best items to sell on eBay The best thing to sell is what you can source then sell for a profit.
Sourceing profitable items is the hardest part.
Good advise is to start with things you have background knowledge in or are interested in. |
| yotano211 | 12-16-2014 05:35 AM | Re: The best items to sell on eBay I mostly sell computer parts, from older or newer motherboards, memory modules, power supply units, or even cases if the shipper pays for the shipping on it. Cases can get heavy. If the case is really has a custom look I will buy it, if not I usually give it to my brother-in-law who sells it for metal.
I am trying to get into other parts like clothes but so far the getting is ruff. I like to stick to the things I know the best. I get my parts from overseas and in the US. |

We need input in a similar way from a variety of forum members at different levels in the account building process and giving those accounts longevity, at this time of course that is more difficult to do than it has ever been with the ID changes coming early in 2015 which is potentially going to make even harder for newbies to get anywhere, for people like yourself who have been around for long enough to have built accounts that have already got enough history and strength behind them to not be knocked off track by things like this coming along, we can always learn more |

...see what I mean? | Yes and also if course if you are selling abroad you have to make enough profit bearing in mind the extra postage costs involved selling overseas, especially on heavier items |
| ebaypowerseller | 12-17-2014 10:45 AM | Re: The best items to sell on eBay Great info everyone. It's really nice to be able to hear it directly from the sellers. |
| pokerpro | 12-17-2014 01:26 PM | Re: The best items to sell on eBay My suggestion is to find some items that are in your area, that people in the rest of the country don't have access to.
For example...years ago, the artist Thomas Kinkaide used to release 2 lithos just in his hometown of Placerville around Thanksgiving....he even came to town one night and would sign them in person.......that was the only place you could get them.
So, naturally people like me bought them and sold them on eBay. I'm pretty sure I was the first to do it, then people noticed and got in on the action.
The Placerville gallery in town got 400 of each signed and noted as "gallery proofs". One year I bought 200 out of the 400.....that was a great year.
Anyway, anything like that you can find, is great. |

| Omgoozle | 12-17-2014 05:58 PM | Re: The best items to sell on eBay I sell Lollexes.
I also sell Lamborghinis and helicopters, but international shipping is a pain. |
| brownsuga | 12-17-2014 06:32 PM | Re: The best items to sell on eBay I sell mostly sell clothes, not just any clothes but a particular type of clothing.
I sell some home and garden items.
I've sold some stationery and craft items but no one seem to be interested in these until back to school
I am trying to sell cellphone/ipad accessories but this market seem to be over saturated so I am giving this up. |
| KevinKR500 | 12-17-2014 11:16 PM | Re: The best items to sell on eBay I sell things that i make or i make other stuff better and resell it that other people on ebay don't have. I sometimes find stuff on ebay cheap and resell it for a profit.
One thing i do is buy $1.00 hot wheels and i customize them and sell for a good profit.
