How can you cancel a deal without refunding ?
 

Something changed from last few months.


Now when I try to cancel an ebay deal as a seller, I have to refund at the same time.. Why?

why would it be any different? If ebay made you a sale, pay them. cheapest rent on earth IMO.

Try to get FVF before refunding.. otherwise no way to get FVF back..

You are too locked into your perspective.

From ebay or the customer's perspective........they paid for an item and you owe it to them. To "undo" the sale, you have to give the money back. If you have already shipped the item then you do NOT have to give the money back until a documented return happens.

The only way I can see there is a question in your mind is if you did not put into your thread that you already shipped the item. In that case......

accept return
refund payment
cancel transaction.

(for the purposes of this discussion) You can only cancel if you:
a. never got payment
b. refunded payment.

Sounds like your trying to avoid paying final value fees.

Pay your fees and move on.

BUT better to do the unpaid item process.

Yes but, unless you speak to buyer, probably best to open a NPB (Non-Paying Bidder)
