Buyer Account Real Info Question?
 

So I just got off the phone with stupid bay and they won't resinstate my old REAL account because "its in their best interest not to associate themselves with me for not paying seller fees", even though on their site it says they resinstate accounts for not paying fees. I realize I should have paid fees but I was a kid..

Anyways...

I plan on opening up a buyer account as discussed in the 1000+ buying thread, but my question is can I use real information in paypal too? I doubt I can, but if its strictly for buying and I just add a credit card, would this work? I mean I suppose I have nothing to lose doing it but just want to save the trouble of buying something then getting limited, IF its something 1000+ dollars. I know I can do chargebacks on my credit card, but this all can be avoided ahead of time ...

did you pay the fees and they said no afterwards? or have you not paid yet?...not that it matters, it is up to them whether to reinstate or not.

you can have a buying acc, in any details that you can receive a package in, so a box, or a name/address variation eg. slight name variation and say unit 12 instead or 12 for door number, often you can use your real card too as it can just work off zipcode for payment verification.

like you said, you have nothing much too lose, although I would not buy high value goods in case something goes wrong.....but we all need to buy little things off ebay right...

My real name and current address. If I were adding a credit card I'm sure they would link me anyways via that. I could just alter my name I suppose but would like to just look like a normal person when receiving packages. :s

I haven't paid the fees because when I was trying to the rep basically told me to open up a buyers account but the intial account wouldn't be reinstated? Kinda silly for him to tell me this when I was offering to pay those fees, now I'm not going to. So I know I can use my real info in eBay if its a BUYERS account but since I'm suspended on paypal for not paying my 50 dollar balance will they let me have a "buyers account"?

You should have no problem with paypal or ebay as a non abusive buyer. You will not have an insta link because your current address is not the same as your previous address. Even if it was, odds are you would not have an issue as a buyer.

I am assuming as a buying account only, you have no interest in the paypal debit card? and wont be applying for credit with any paypal products?

No, I mean... I doubt I'd get approved because I'm suspended with them anyways. Its strictly going to be a buyers account. Thanks for the input.

no your same info is not good for a new buyers acc, regardless of what rep told you.

can be in a box or variation of real details, so you can receive packages, use stealth methods, so as not to link you.
