As for taxes though, they can't estimate income that well by mere eBay sales as income is more complicated and what eBay thinks you make is not always your profit. Some profit on shipping, some people don't always do unpaid disputes (like if the item sells at a loss and the buyer decides not to respond so the seller doesn't want to jinx it), and people also give refunds and get chargebacks after the time is up to do an unpaid dispute or if they already had to do one and close it and then later had to refund or got chargebacked.
Personally, I think anyone who officially registered a business for eBay isn't going to be foolish enough to try to avoid paying any taxes. |
