When the 21 days continue...
 

Hi all

I would love any advice or insight anyone may have into my current circumstance.

I have an account which is now well over 90 days old, with 25 feedbacks and transactions and has had over $250 in sales, my issue is that I believed that the holds on my funds would cease, but they haven't? I was just wondering if anyone had any experience as to how long this can go on for?

I saw a thread recently saying that 21 day holds shouldn't affect legitimate sellers, I just want to be clear that I am a legit seller, I don't sell anything high end at all and the only reason I am asking about the holds or find them a bother is just because I have to absorb the postage costs for now and as I am just starting out its draining my pockets a little. I know it's not a huge problem in the larger picture but it will definitely help once they are lifted. So was just wondering if anyone had any experience with extended holds?

what does ebay tell you when you search, "Paypal holding funds" in the help and contact box?

If you submit documents the 21 day period should be removed. I know it was for me,
but for stealth accounts that might not be the case.

It says 'this is because you are yet to meet ebay or pay pals risk standards' or something to that effect. Then it lists the 3 conditions, 90days selling, 25 transactions and $250 of sales. I just thought once I achieved all 3 the holds would automatically stop but they haven't. Also just to be clear, the funds are always held the full 21days - even when an item is marked received by a buyer or feedback is left for the transaction. I guess that's also what's making it a little tough.

If you print and buy postage off ebay, at least in the USA anyways, you can have those fees held until your money is released.

Oh ok, I've never used the ebay postage option. I have just been using Australia Post regular postage. Thanks I'll check it out.
