New Paypal Business Account Requires SSN
 

Hi everyone,
I tried to open a new Paypal Business account under the name of my LLC but it requires last 4 digits of contact's SSN and DOB. How do I get around this? I did my research and someone mentioned that I should open personal account using LLC name first then upgrade to Business account to avoid this. Is this true? Should I add EIN as SSN in my personal PP account then upgrade it to business?
Another question: I opened eBay account as well and it is personal. Can I upgrade my eBay account to business and link it to my personal PP account?

Has it been near a banned ebay account?

If so, of course you can NOT add it.

I came across that issue. All you need to do is close out and relogin again. It should bring you to the main page for PP. DO NOT IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE put your SSN.

I had that issue before. It was really no biggie after you do that.

PP tricks you by asking for that too. If you play there game. Yes they will know who you are.

I just make the last 4 up. They only need your ein for taxing. Who's to say in my LLC there aren't 20 members and one of them has those last 4.

How long has your LLC linked paypal been alive? Is there some magic ceiling where you absolutely MUST provide Drivers license/SSN#?
