Account limit halved!
 

I have an account that I used over the winter which has 320items / mo

And it went to below standard for Dec and went back up to above standard in January... they halved my item count to 160/mo as well as the dollar amount.

This is ridiculous. They drop item limits whenever an account goes below standard???

Not every time, but it does happen a lot.

Makes it even hearder to get the account back up above standard

It'll be above standard in 1 week...
Does the limit go back up with this or it stays 1/2? So damn frustrating

Tend to stay at the new lower limit (on UK accounts at least)

It can still raise again in the future though.

I noticed that my limits never increase in any of my accounts.

Once halved you are going to have to regain ebay trust and push for the limits to be increased again.

I have had issues like this with few accounts that have been operating cleanly for several years...frustrating - I haven't bothered on hoping for the increase....simply get new accounts going

yea well going for new accounts starting at 10/mo is also furstrating

I don't understand how people's accounts never get their limits raised! My account had a serious strike on it (Forgot what exact MC it was) but the only way I could contact eBay was through messaging a specific department. Even with all this, 3 months later that stealth account has 200/5000 limits and the 21 day hold on Paypal is gone. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Yes, you were lucky.......I have an 18 month old account that got a single neg from a guy about 20 feedbacks in...it has NEVER got a single increase...stuck at 10/1K......all of the other accounts I made at the same time are ALL at least at 100/5K.......that one neg really screwed me!

When you make a lot of accounts you will see a randomness that is in there formula to increase limits.

I have had accounts with a negative and 6 positives and get increased automatically to 100/5000 after 3 months

Other accounts I have listed and sold one item and had 0 feedback and I get an email saying we have noticed how well u have been selling so you can now list even more and had an increase from 10/1000 to 100/10000

I been lucky and never had an account stuck at 10/1000 but you can see the randomness

There has got to be a way some how to operate without having to have 30-50 accounts...

There is strong and long stealths, the way to do it is 10 turns to 5, 5 turn to 2 and 2 turns to 1, only problem is as my limits grow what im selling does too so it goes backwards again. Hope that makes sense
