Asked seller by providing number to confirm hes legit. He sounds nigerian

It's a $450 phone. I feel very skeptical. He is also U.S verified through paypal. I am thinking more verification methods. I am not sure. Can anyone sugest anything to me. If he is in nigeria how would I be able to call him long distance like that. or is he a local Nigerian. 50% of the buyers on high end electronics are scammers and almost all of them are Nigerians.

I'm thinking about saying the phone got damaged. Or something and just block him. I am not sure.

I don't want to say I don't sell to Nigerians because that is racist But this is ridicules. I honestly would like to avoid them all together when it comes to ebay. Not sure how to handle this.

Should I just say I rethought this and you didn't sound american. I would rather to sell to someone els but I don't wanna get a neg. I really need help..

What sort of feedback score does he have? You are in a tricky situation with this one that's for sure! Have to say if that is true about 50% of scammers on ebay being Nigerian that would not be a surprise, I remember seeing a documentary a good while back about the main airport in Lagos and the characters who 'inhabit' it, also their attitude to life tends to be so laid back that finding many of them working over here is a bit like finding a needle in a haystack, to avoid getting a neg rating from this one you probably have to let it run its course and hope that he pays up and is genuine, if he does not and you have any second bidders then you're good to offer to them. There is a lesson here on listing expensive mobile phones or any sort of tech, who know's he may be genuine and probably will pay up, you cannot know the outcome until the transaction either completes or it doesn't

He is US verified of course as well, so that must mean something

Just make sure you ship to a U.S. CONFIRMED ADDRESS and use signature confirmation and you will have seller protection

For a few dollars extra you can also purchase insurance

You sure do need help. You need to get over your biogotry.

Stop selling in this category.

You are getting more ridiculous with every thread.

If you can not sell properly, then give the game away.

A good saleperson would sell ice cubes to polar bears.

Look at rsot.

Panhandler supreme.

You don't grasp things do you?

Only you stops yourself from selling with success.

You have that many barriers raised you are costing yourself business.
