How many of your customers leave feedback?
 
This seems to be a common issue with any accounts I have run. Some buyers just simply dont leave feedback. Currently on an account I am building, out if 50 some buyers only a handful have left feedback. Even after the follow up messages thanking them, etc. still no dice. Some just plain dont leave feedback....how many of you run into this issue? How many of your buyers really leave feedback?

Like you, a few have but not many.
Have yu left feedback? I find that many dont like to until you do first.
But then sometimes we dont want to incase they leave a horrible negative and then its too late as we will have sent glowing feedback for them.

That's how it always is on eBay, the age old feedback thing! They put so much score by feedback that sellers are always under pressure to do everything they can to get it, but the fact is buyers just want to get their goods and then forget about everything else, as has been said a few will leave feedback but most do not, I always left feedback for my buyers, but found that many probably didn't even notice I had left it for them!

Usually runs around 40% of sales result in feedback.

Recently that figure has dropped even lower.

Maybe feedbacks going out of fashion.

About third of my costumers leave it. And I agree - it depends on the item.

I leave a note with every package, stating if any problems can return here blabla etc and remind them to leave feedback. And I been getting a pretty high response even more so during the holidays near 50%

At least im not the only one getting 40-50% of customers feedback. I dont leave feedback until its left for me for multiple reasons. One being idiots that leave neutral feedback due to buyers remorse without even contacting me first. I would just refund them for these cheap items but instead they ding me with neutral. So I dont leave feedback until I get it.

So far with my Feedback ONLY items I get around 90% within 1-2 weeks and another 4% within a month or two. Like 123, I add a small note.

I don't care if they leave feedback or not......I never leave it 1st.....my guess is 30-40% of my buyers leave FB, then I do for them.

I get 90% feedback as I constantly nag them 'in a good way' lol until I get it. Don't lose something that can be had.

Do not bother people or even ask. Asking will get you negatives, remind people to return it or a million other bad things. I always have said no feedback is good feedback

One of the reasons I was told that ePal (or is that PayBay?) did not want to do business with me any more was that even though my feedback was excellent, I was receiving a below average amount of feedback.

While this is true, when you are building your reputation, you want to have the feedback coming in. After a certain point, I don't care much. Unless it's neutral or negative of course.

Mine is very low, maybe 10% post fb... I am with danshan, no feedback is good feedback in my book!

Here is my EB feedback 181,681 Feedback left / 113,318 Feedback received

On AM I only get around 5%

that is around 50% if I am reading it correctly. My bigger items are like this. Smaller dollar items are a lot less for me.

I get about 2/3 people leaving feedback - sales are not into 6 figures but a about low double digits a week - light activity

It is best NOT to ask. If someone is unhappy and has not left feedback, you can easily annoy them and get negative/neutral feedback.

DRS scores are based on transactions, not feedback. No feedback is BEST feedback as far as this goes.

I think one of the problems is that not enough people leave feedback and then one guy comes along with a negative or a neutral and it looks bad because you don't have loads of positives to outweigh the negs.

What I did in the past when I had an account with not much feedback and I urgently needed feedback:

I just wrote to the customers who did not leave feedback after 3 weeks, if the customer was happy with the product or if there was anything else I could help him with. And if he was satisfied I'm happy and would be even more happy to receive a positive feedback.

About 85% of those who received that mail left + feedback within the following 5 days

It is not a good idea at all.

There are other methods to get feedback without harassing anyone for it.

I get on Average 42-48% feedback on Sales for eBay, I don't leave any note, I know after a month eBay sends an email to buyers automatically that have not left feedback yet

My thing is that I'm close to 50% which is good enough, within 3 months I'm usually at 200+ positives on my accounts that are big accounts and that grows more as i increase sales after 90 days

If I could Id even cancel any request from eBay to buyers after a month, because if the buyer had a good experience they will leave feedback right away

I'd hate to have no feedback from a buyer go to a negative or neutral because I placed a note or email

I'd rather have no feedback than a neutral or neg, and 40+% is enough to get limits increased and holds lifted and trust with buyers

I find that it has to deal with the items you are listing or the category.

Also has to do with your target customers are, women are more likely to leave feedback if satisfied. If your item has a lot of customers who are also sellers (shipping supplies for example) this will increase the feedback percentage as well.
