Close family knows that I do online business... no more no less. Close friends it's the same. Three guys know what I do... one will travel with me to china, the other one is my attorney and the third one has no interest in any internet stuff. To strangers I don't tell anything... why should I? But honestly I'm not a sociable person |

Attitudes of other people to Internet selling is a revelation, over here i would never mention Internet marketing, that has bad connotations for many people with the almost constant barrage of emails and for people who don't have ex-directory landline phone numbers as well, apart from one family member who sells on ebay as well but who created a new account last September and is currently stalled at the £1900 selling limit awaiting news about getting past that point they did start to create ID docs but before used them realised the new requirements that were coming into force, anyway we don't broadcast what areas we are in, if we go on to be successful then we will have to see what develops!! |

Ive told friends that I sell on ebay. Never mentioned stealth... Yet all of them think I do something dodgy.
Unfortunately ebay has negative connotations due to how easy it is to scam people. Especially in the past. |

When I was going to college is when I started selling on eBay, I made pretty decent cash for being a college student. My mom got suspicious on how I was getting my money, I spent a good 10 minutes explaining to my mom about my stealth accounts & selling electronics on eBay. My dad (a police officer) stopped by my house a couple of hours later to interrogate me on my tactics as if I was breaking the law, like I murdered someone or something :). So.. I pretty much keep everything to myself now.. |

| I'm a member of SFB and i recommend it if you think your ready to build your own website and learn how to generate traffic, lots of valuable information there for a very low price.
Unlike most of the people here I tried teaching my close friends how to make money online and out of like 20 only 2 people keep doing it, i found that most of the people just not smart enough to understand it. My family is still thinking i'm doing something illegal and i gave up on trying to explain, this days i'm just telling people i'm selling fish underwater or some other bs that come to my head at the moment. |

Same here, I always joke with people and tell them I sell any and everything I can find on ebay. If it's laying around my house with little/no use, its going on ebay. lol
I never get into details, just tell them it's something I do on the side. |

Well most of them know as i do have warehouse and staff.
I dont go into details too much as this is not needed.
Most of them think my web is doing most of the sales.

When i tell people at my day job that I sell $1000 of dollars worth of product online and drive one of the nicest cars at my work I automatically get the "you are clearly doing something illegal" judgement. I think ebay/stealth is so innovating I sometimes dont understand how people DONT do it. Ebay has changed my lifein such a positive way as im sure it has for many others on this forum. |

I tell nobody nothing, why do you have to explain anything? Only my wife and son know. I am sick of nosy people.
Plus I do not drive flash cars, I have everything I need at home, also I have only a few friends and limited cash.
I was once making loads of cash about 10 years ago, flash cars and all that yes I had loads of friends then, when the cash ran out so did they. |

Ive been called a drug dealer too. I actually had a particularly nasty neighbor tell everyone on the mountain that we were selling drugs. Fortunately a lot of them already knew we were selling on ebay. Most are happy with that. |

I havnt told many what i do but whenever i mentioned the word stealth acct people think its something shady im doing on ebay...i do have a 9-5 factory job where im not making very much and everyone knows it. I drive a clunker and have the whole 3years i been working there... i make thousands on ebay and prob make more money than anyone at my job including upper management. Its almost to the point where im only working there for the health insurance that my family gets from it. Ive been saving up for my 1st luxury car and should have it in a month or 2. Ill prob have to tell people internet marketing because when you say "i sell on ebay" it opens the door to many more questions that i hate answering |

I try to never say what i do...but my life style speaks for miself and jealously from others is a good indicator that we are doing good in life! People never get jealous of losers!
I don't get jealous of the people arround me..trust me.

Silence is golden...you should never speak about what you do even if you do sell on eBay. Too many people will start wondering and especially close friends...always put up a front. you all seem to be too honest LOL. |
