Ebay Phone Call
 

Hello All,

Ebay wants to give me a call to confirm my identity since they say that it looks like I´ve signed in from a different computer. I do not have access to the sim card since I bought the account on this forum. Can I call Ebay on Private number to tell them I lost my phone and that therefore I do not have access to the number registered on there site?

Have you contacted your account seller for their advice on the best way to deal with this one?, they are always helpful you know and will answer any queries you have. I am going to be looking at call forwarding ready for anything like this that comes along and I think it's a good way to get around needing access to different phone numbers.

I have contacted him through Pm and directly on his thread but he has bothered to reply which is quite sad since he is online. I am really stuck on this one...

Is the account toast now or is there any way of dealing with this one?

It really is a good idea. That way you never miss a call and can all be linked to one device :-)

Im sure your seller isnt ignoring you. Im always signed in but not always about...if you know what i mean :-)
Some sellers have their own accounts and may have jobs too, so try to be patient.
Hang fire. Hopefully seller may have the sim card if that is what was used as a number. Either way, they will advise you.
Dont do anything as yet till seller gets back to you as they may have a solution or a suggestion :-)

Excellent suggestion halo, always a good idea to give the account seller time to get back to the account buyer with any suggestions for dealing with an issue like this

blocking your number will not do it... never had this issue with ebay..but if it's anything like paypal where they give you a 6 digits code to punch in your phone and link it to the account then why not? just use a number that is not LINKED to any accounts already.
