How much money is safe to make first month ??
 

Hey everyone ! So I wanted to ask everybody how much do they think is safe to make first month in sales??

Are items ending in value over $100 more risky ??

What is everybody best practice in sales volume first month ??

Category of item seems to make a huge difference. Most of my 10-1000 accounts I sell $1500 or so the first month to warm them up. Most will have an increase after a week or so. I start off with used item with low risk ranging from $30-300 in the first month.

Again, used and a category that is not deemed as risky by ebay.

On this account i have limits of 100/5000.

There is no answer to this question. Every situation, item and how you operate the account determines the answer and at any time you can still get an MC999

Unsafe is anything with a strong trademark that is regularly ⊗⊗⊗⊗d. Virtually all electronics, anything Disney, Apple, Beach body, Microsoft, digital goods, video games and the list goes on and on.

Nice list yankee, giving a very good idea of things that are no go areas for anyone who is not well established as an eBay seller, items that can and do lead to limitations and full blown suspensions for the unwary, sellers creating new accounts in the early days would not be wise to list items for over $100 straight off the bat, low risk items are the way to go when starting out as a seller, maybe few things from around the house, gradually moving onto in your case from the US some dollar store finds that look like they could be sold for a mark up to bring in a bit of profit. People have been saying there has been a 90 limit before they could start operating their accounts normally, but more recently that 90 day timescale seems to have been disappearing for some sellers.

Takes time and experimentation on your part...few of us have many accounts to spread sales with and build.

Generally I would take new accounts as just that NEW accounts.

Don't think of making big bucks on them until you know what your doing. Expiermenting is key with the unique items your selling.

Only you can know, theres just general guide lines to follow on the forum.
