I was just thinking scrolling through ebay.
The times when buyers had their accepted payments listed below at the bottom
of their listing

and it would say

Paypal
Visa MC Discover
Check
Money order

lol... i used to always send money orders.

We can still pay with postal orders in the UK..Not many private sellers offer it so much now byt a loy of the big business ones do.
When i started out, i didnt have paypal so paid by cheque or postal order. Then i had a cpuple of hits and wasnt covered with money back guarantee so got paypal lol.

I might be wrong here but many years ago i remember ebay giving you a percentage of what ypu would get back if a particular problem occurred. Im going back about 15 years and can vaguely remember it. Can anyone else or was i dreaming it lol

Like 30% of my payments use to come via money order back in the day. Now its maybe one or two a year if a buyer requests it.

Back in the day - 99% of my orders were by money orders from the USA - was beautiful; so much trust and feedback - good times indeed

I still get one or two people wanting to send cash and there is nothing like opening a letter to find a $50 or $100 note hidden in it.

I would get cheques too but I made it clear that checks had to clear with the bank before shipment went out...international checks took longer to clear so...ppl would send postal money orders and such :thumb:

I miss the days when final value fees were 3.75% ...
Anyone remember that? was just thinking of that last night...
