can Ebay track you through web beacons of other non-ebay sites
 

Hey guys,

I don't think this question has been answered before:

1. Say if I log into my good/current Ebay account with $30,000K monthly limit
2. I check my main Gmail, which receives ALL emails from previous Ebay accounts that are good as well as suspended, images are DISABLED so it shouldn't a problem.
3. Say I received an email from GILTCITY which was sent to an email that is suspended on Ebay (attached to a suspended user ID) but since it's forward to this main Gmail, I receive it. I ENABLE images on this GILTCITY email by accident to check out this deal/images.
4. Will image beacons from this GILTCITY email associated with a suspended email address LINK me to my suspended EBay account and therefore suspend my current GOOD ebay account which I use on the same IP/windows account?

I guess what I'm really trying to ask is, can Ebay track you through web beacons of other non-ebay sites (but which you used suspended info to register for)?

Nope. They don't have access to them. Different company different beacons.
By the way - if you use separate user accounts and the IP matches theres no need to avoid these beacons. I find that actually opening them properly is a good thing for the health of the account in the long run - but again - only if done properly.
