Importing goods on regular basis.

I am.planning to import goods from overseas. Mainly China.
I also use loads of wholesalers in UK.
Recently I have been looking to imports goods the same items from.China. This way I can warn more profits.

The item I want to import are like cartoon characters things.

I have not imported these goods before. I have no idea about these type of products would have issues.

The goods would have Disney Trademark.
Are these products problematic?

Also. How many imports are you all importing from China?
Do you get them imported to home address or business address.

I planning to expand. Have been good on domestic side of things.

Any input by some experts on this forum would be a great help.
Thanks

DISNEY TRADEMARK!!!!! No No No, you could hardly have picked a higher risk item if you tried, you have not been this forum on a regular basis clearly, Disney woukd have your account closed down in no time for Vero, which is abusing trademarks in case you are not aware of that, 100% do not waste your accounts like this, way way way too risky, Disney are known to clamp down heavily on traders who try to sell imported or any other versions of their goods.

Thank you for advice.

Did not know that Disney products comes into VERO trademark.

I have been purchasing these products from UK with reputable wholesalers.
Have no problems so far.

Would stick to what I am currently doing.

Did you see recently on the news all of the 'Frozen' toys that were seized coming into the country?

Problems, avoid at all costs.

A good start for products is to look close to you, maybe any UK wholesalers. Don't think you always have to look abroad, lots of local suppliers of goods that you could do well with

Good luck

Disney + China = phake

That is why its cheaper. It is not worth it. Not to mention import duties etc..

Not ALL Disney items are VERO.
The DVD's are the most problematic.

I once knew someone who made a pretty good living importing ⊗⊗⊗⊗ T shirts...until they confiscated 30,000 T shirts at the docks and arrested him....(ended up getting 2yr probation and $50K fine)

True. You get alot of wholesalers in UK that are genuine

I have been dealing with license trade holders and reputable wholesalers in UK.
I have never came across any issue.
This is one side of my business.

DVDs are something i have not dealt with.

My accounts are real and stealth. I have never came across any issues regarding this. That's due to receipts and invoices have always been valid.

Thank you all for your answers. China is absolutely a big NO NO.

The problem is that you cannot completely dismiss China anymore, they are an emerging market force, and no one else can really compete with them for price, certainly not in the UK, and there is no manufacturing of any value here any more, it's fine saying you use UK wholesalers but where are they getting their goods from, China by any other name

For low end manufacturing like textiles and footwear, they are already moving production out of China because it's too expensive there to do business anymore. My main supplier has moved to Vietnam and Cambodia.

Hi, I had a bad expierience with these as they are mostly not CE certified and ebay sooner or later will ban you from selling these. Try not tpo buy a huge quantity from China.

Also, you have to remember that if your chinese connection is so willing to screw Disney, sooner or later tjey will screw YOU.

Haven't imported anything yet so haven't use my home address.

The only time I have used my home address is for my personal small items.

Why not use home address? For people who don't have a business address, warehouse, etc... where else would you ship it? Thx
