 Dial up users -TIPS
Hey everyone, so I decided to go the dial up route as I'm making more accounts and would like to be less concerned about ip addresses.
I choose AOL because I can set up multiple locations and assign numbers for each location. So for location 1 I may call it eBay account #1 and I will attach phone numbers to the city the stealth account is located.
Good thing about AOL is they have a dial up data base over 6000 numbers. So I have plenty of different locations.
Cost. $14.95 a month ... Cheaper than any dongle solution . Sure there is cheaper prices for dial up but I like the easy set up of AOL PLUS I like how I can easily create locations and just select that location and sign on.
Okay, after I finally logged on I noticed how freekin slow dial up is and decided if this was the route I wanted to go. HOWEVER, I found a way I can tolerate it and increase speeds.
I tried all different browsers and OPERA is the winner to me. Loads web pages the quickest.
On top of using opera I downloaded and installed extensions 'adblocker plus' along with 'flashblocker' also helped load pages a little quicker
Turn off images in settings , turn off plug in, disable Pop ups, - turn off as many things that you can that are not needed.
OKAY, now that I made these changes I am not so concerned about speed as I've been able to tweak settings so I can actually work ! Instead of spreading more time waiting for pages to load.
If anybody else has tips or advice please share for us dial up users. If I disabled something that should be enabled for eBay robots. Please let us know :-)
I hope this helps somebody.. I did not see any threads geared towards dial up optization .
As a side note I also think it is noted that dial up is safest method.
