dropshipping between ebay accounts
 

Good morning :) Just wondering how safe is it dropshipping from one ebay to another, for example...sell the items on one account, on the other ebay but the items from a seller that sells same product just much cheaper and have him ship the items directly to the customer? I have been having the items shipped to me and then I ship to the customer but it would save me alot of $ if I could cut that last step out? and this would be about twice a week. seems dangerous to me but just want to see if others have successfully pulled this off. Thanks

It is dangerous unless 1) you are 100% of quality 2) know the guy shipping FOR you...etc

That's just a bad idea all the way around....Do you plan to change your shipping address 20-40 times a day/week?

You don't have your own physical product to sell?

I know both as far as quality and guy selling for me, and they r both flawless. and i do have my own product, this is just one aspect of my selling. My only concern is of ebays thoughts on this.

I would be more concerned about buyers but if you ensure flawless quality then it's up to you to follow through

If they recognise it as dropshipping they will not like it, they are known as having great dislike of it, and always have had. Obviously you have no control over what happens with your items, if there are any delays in shipping you will not know about it and you can just get left with the hassle of its all afterwards.

And you can't upload the same shipping tracking code twice to eBay. You will be flagged!

I have tried before, eBay hasn't let me use a tracking number that another eBay seller gave me. But I do drop ship eBay to eBay all of the time when I have issues shipping my item to my buyer. I usually make a profit almost every time without even trying. I do honestly want to try doing it purposely but the whole not being able to upload tracking thing makes me afraid to try due to the nightmarish number of eBay cases that it would cause.

My only real solution would be to give an alternate tracking number that is used to track the item on your own made-up shipping company website, but your site just pulls the tracking info from USPS. That's getting a bit complicated though.

Alright, I stand corrected. I could've sworn I had done that before on an Ebay to Ebay dropship order.

Been doing it for years, once you have a clientele built up they will buy it from you. One item a guy ships for $2.35 free shipping and it would cost me $2.66 to ship. So I sell for $4.99 plus $2.66 shipping and have sold dozens. $7.65 minus $2.35 is $5.31 profit minus fees for changing address. Win/Win for both sellers.

I don't upload tracking, I send an ebay message to them with the tracking that the seller gave me.
