Bank Account For Half.com
 

I have a stealth account for Ebay and am looking to use it to now sell on Half.com's venue.

I have most of the required information but unlike Ebay, a usable bank account is necessary since they pay making direct deposits.

-How can I go about getting a checking account that is for the same name of the stealth information that has been registered? Is it even necessary to do so? As mentioned, this is something that actually needs to be used, as I need access to it to claim the payments.

-Also, what do I do about tax information? Do I somehow get an EIN for the stealth name?

Since Amazon is clamping down the media categories I figured I would give this venue a chance.

Most banks will accept deposits in different names so...what's the issue?

As for tax info...financial consultant is in order

I was just concerned that Half.com would know the name of the bank account holder. So it's okay if I provide an unused checking account number, even though it is for my actual name rather than the stealth name?

Also, I'm not sure a financial consultant would help me get a SSN/EIN for a name that is not my own.

Another potential problem is that the routing number for my real information indicates a different state than that of the stealth information.

Will this be a red flag that can be detected?

Routing number is not a big deal - ppl have accounts all over the country.

Half.com will not know the true name of the account holder unless 1) you GIVE it to them or 2) you start uploading cash from the bank account (since a receipt is generated) or 3) you are investigated by officials for legal purposes...eg. fraud, etc. (few examples I can think off)

Okay, thanks for the response.

So I realized that a personal checking account of mine, in which I opened about a year ago with Bank of America, has never been used on Ebay/Half.com.

I'm thinking I should just go ahead and use that.

A couple more questions before I go through with it:

1. Can Half.com pull back a deposit (reverse) once it's been disbursed? I feel like Amazon did this once and maybe that was a way of discovering the account holder name?

2. So just to reiterate, when Half.com asks for the name on the checking account, I can just use Stealth Name straight up, even though it's a blatant mismatch? Again, this is for Bank of America.

My Ebay/Half.com account is now suspended, less than 24 hours after adding the bank information.

What happened? They must have noticed a mismatch or something. Gotta start over again...

Is there anyway Paypal noticed activity associated with accounts tied to suspended Ebay accounts with the stealth one that caused this?
