Redirected to an Ad-page while on Ebay
 

So recently I've been randomly getting re-directed from Ebay to an Ad page with Ellen Degeneres in the middle of the screen with an option at the bottom right of the page to get a Chrome extension to block it, or to wait 30 seconds to be re-redirected back to Ebay.

I've ran all my malware and virus removal tools and they've found nothing, and this ONLY happens when I'm on Ebay.

Anyone else coming across this by chance?

Have a look for any added extensions in Chrome (you can see them in your Chrome settings)

I also am getting this, and I'm running Forefox.

Ran virus and malware scan, found nothing.

Intermittent, happens maybe once every couple of days.

Takes me completely off the Ebay page to the ad he described.

Back arrow takes me back to the listing I was viewing.

update guys. been having this issue and now my Stealth accounts getting a MC010 unauthorized account access. Either make sure its removed fast or get new pc ..

I had this happen a few times but it was Oprah Winfrey on the page. No clue wtf happened but I was just browsing a listing and all of a sudden it redirected to the page. I clicked the back button real fast too lol. No viruses or malware detected when I scanned.

Malwarebytes mate. Download and run a scan. You should not randomly be redirected from ebay

I had the same thing happen on FireFox. I ran Anti-Malwarebytes and that took care of it.

I've got malwarebytes, but it hasn't found it. Now mine is showing Oprah also. It went away for about 6 weeks, now it's back. I'll have to try some other malware scanner for a while, I suppose.

If MB ain't cutting it, i also use adwcleaner, or run combofix

I dont think its malware is this many people are experiencing the problem. Has to be some wacky ad on ebays page that is corrupt and causing it to do that or something. The only other explanation is that ebay itself has this malware on its site and is infecting all of our computers...and I dont think thats the case. Possible, but not likely.
