| Senyo | 02-13-2015 07:34 AM | Potential Scammer Hello,
I have two separate stealth ebay accounts selling completey different things....
This morning I received and email from a buyer saying this on both accounts , bearing in mind the accounts are under complete different stealth details and selling different things. The message goes :
“any reason this hasnt come still ??
my address is correct
would like my money returned“
This is the exact same thing he sent to both the accounts.
I feel like just sticking it on him :mad2: but I“m worried somehow I would lose out and get linked....
The items on both accounts are low cost both under 5 pounds , for the sake of my account I wouldnt mind refunding, but surely there must be a way to win this one.....
Anyone have any ideas? |

Sounds like an old spoof email system. If so, I hope you did not click the link and attempt to login. |
| Senyo | 02-13-2015 07:56 AM | Re: Potential Scammer Hi,
No I havent logged in from my email, the message did appear on my ebay messaging.
the buyer has 123 feedback , dont know what he is playing at. |
| yankee | 02-13-2015 08:01 AM | Re: Potential Scammer I think I was misunderstanding. Did the buyer actually buy an item? |
| Senyo | 02-13-2015 08:02 AM | Re: Potential Scammer Yeah he bought an item on both of the accounts.
My two accounts he bought from have different stealth details and are selling completely different items |
| yankee | 02-13-2015 08:10 AM | Re: Potential Scammer I would send a friendly message with tracking details if you have them.
Maybe just impatient buy who just happened to buy from two of your accounts.
It happens to me when I am selling in the same category. I look at buyers feedback and they always have bought from me or one of my sellers before. It is a nitch market and expected for me. |
| Senyo | 02-13-2015 08:25 AM | Re: Potential Scammer Yeah sadly the problem is that I do not have tracking details to give him because my items are so cheap.
Any other recommendations ? I am really stuck on what to do lol |

Anyone have any ideas? | Under £5 each! Refund, move on, forget about it, don't give yourself any more hassles! |
| a.v.limited | 02-13-2015 05:55 PM | Re: Potential Scammer been in the same boat, not worth the hassle
2 accounts and sent to same address ? |
| GreenBean | 02-13-2015 06:17 PM | Re: Potential Scammer avlimited,
Where did the OP say it was the same address?
:spy: |
| a.v.limited | 02-13-2015 06:22 PM | Re: Potential Scammer it was a question, hence question mark |
| Senyo | 02-14-2015 06:10 AM | Re: Potential Scammer Have not responded to him since he sent the messages yesterday. Will ask if he has still not received it but If it comes to it, I will I'll refund, if he is scamming me karma will get him anyway.
One account his address was an argos store, and the other account it appears to be his home address.
So he used two different addresses... |
| yankee | 02-14-2015 07:34 AM | Re: Potential Scammer In the USA almost all shipping optionhs have tracking. I am guessing this is not the case in the UK? It seems to come up often that the item was low value so no tracking. |
| a.v.limited | 02-14-2015 09:30 AM | Re: Potential Scammer tracking costs and not really worth it for low end items |

would just pay up, not really worth hassle for £5 |
Re: Potential Scammer Under 5 pounds...Senyo, when did you mail it out? Any chance that it might be delayed in receiving? |
| tida2004 | 02-14-2015 02:14 PM | Re: Potential Scammer Just refund him. |
| slokor | 02-14-2015 02:18 PM | Re: Potential Scammer Refund, Block, Move on.
Not worth the effort or the defect to your accounts. |
| Senyo | 02-17-2015 02:24 PM | Re: Potential Scammer Yeah posted it a week ago , so would have definately arrived, but I have refunded him on account and ignored on the other. If he sends another message on the second account I will just refund him. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:42 PM. | |
