Ideas for newbie seller

Hey,
Can you give me some ideas to sell and gain feedback as seller?
I thought about cases for iphone and cable but everybody is selling this right now.

glad you have changed idea as far as selling iPhone cases and cables... nothing more dangerous for a brand new account.

Search the forum for tips.

Anything non risky.
So no Nike, Coach, Disney, beach body, digital anything, most all electronics, stay away from all apple products.

Dollar store items, shipping/packing, used goods not mentioned above.

90% of items have no issues. I never quite understand why so many want to target that 10% that do.

Hahaha

Nothing microsoft or any software IMO. Video games are a bad idea as well even used. Bullion and coins are a no go on a fresh account also.

What are these secret items that are mega-popular and risk-free, especially, for beginners? Want to hear some new opinions.

I sold microsoft office on very first stealth account thinking after 3 months all would be okay..

9-10 months later I got a message from paypal saying "were sorry but your acccount has raised serious concerns....." they said the microsoft office I sold 9-10 months ago was "⊗⊗⊗⊗".

The buyer was happy and even left postive feedback! Haha...

IMO as a general rule stay away from apple and microsoft products unless your 100% confident in what your doing.

If a stealth made more money than it took to grow it before suspension, mission is a success ;)

No new sellers are selling those items yanov that's the point here! It seems to you that everyone is selling them because that's what you think you should be able to sell and make money on, the reality is very very few people are selling them, and the ones that do and are able to keep on selling them are very well established. Dollar store items and the like are ideal for people still having to ask what's good good for selling and gaining feedback!

That is the beauty of eBay, you can list just about anything and someone will buy it. I have been surprised at what some people will buy on ebay. I would just still to low risk items, no electronics or name brand items if you want your account to last.

Of course people will buy anything. Time is the question. When it comes to a business, one more month is a bit long.

I am always amazed that people can not find anything to sell that is not risky.
There is millions of items on ebay for sale now. Start searching and see what sells. MOST items are not risky.

How about office supplies, packing material, crafts, sporting goods, house hold items, used auto parts and tools....
The other day I bought a bunch or urinal accessories(like replacement flush handles) from Habitat for Humanity for $5.00 a box. They sell slowly at $169.00 as an example.

If we all shared exactly what those items were....they wouldn't be a "secret" anymore, now would they.......

Yankee or any experienced seller whats your advice if were buying brand name items this time of year from retail outlets scan the receipt and send it to eBay first so they don't flag the listing?

Without mentioning the names of the stores but I"m sure most people can guess when it comes to off-priced clothing or even major department stores. You may buy a big brand item but because it's on clearance they'll have just some category # or dept # with the stores logo sometimes or sometimes a redueced price sticker. I hate to have a buyer see my receipt or even a local seller and take away possible future inventory

It seems to depend on the category with clothing being a finicky one. I would wait until your holds are released and then slowly introduce a single item at a time to test the waters.

If you have accounts to test you can try listing as used but show the tags in in the pictures. In my category this eliminates a lot of issues but it certainly would not work with many high risk/vero espcialy ones monitored by bots.

Those are good items to sell for starting on a fresh brand new account.

I want to ask you though after you sell your very first item how long do you wait until you sell the second item and then third item.

How long do you let your sales cool off between each listing on brand new accounts?
