ebay algorithm: How to Get Seen More
 

If this has been answered elsewhere, please direct me to the thread and apologies in advance.

I've been running a small ebay shop (not a stealth a/c) for the last 9 months - just two items in it.

I get days where I sell 3 of one item a day consecutively, then the sales just dry up for 7-10 days no sales at all.

On the days when I get sales, they can all be made in the same hour. Then nothing for the rest of the day.

The item I sell isn't really seasonal, so I'm pretty certain it's ebay and they're either showing my listing prominently or then burying it on page 2.

It's like my product is on a moving carousel.

I'm wondering if there are any techniques I can use to help be seen more often :FF:

Standard techniques...best price, free shipping, plan end times for the auction...spread sales to different accounts and build a few more

This has been eBays new practice Lately, they changed things up big time in the last year, where they will manipulate listing visibility and alter Traffic coming to your store

It makes running just a couple accounts extremely hard if you want to keep sales going.

Now you need to run many accounts and always add new accounts in the mix, it seems accounts under 90 days old get more traffic and listing visibility

Yes, I definitely noticed a lot more orders in the first few months of opening the store.

Then stuttering sales... just enough for me to keep paying the store monthly fee :(

Would this help me, or would it be breaking any of ebay's terms?

The thing I sell is custom made specifically for each person.

Currently, I only have a couple of products listed. The products are BIN's listed to sell for 30 days good till cancelled.

I've got a shop, so have a 200 free listing limit.

Could I list the item 200 times at different times of day/week and I'll have more bites at the cherry?

I'm used to doing seo for google and I know that they hate duplicated pages, so thought it would be best to check this is ok before getting into hot water with ebay.

Or, maybe do I change the listing slightly each time?

Any help is much appreciated.

If you sell custom made items how in the world do you need rankings. I have no idea on dupes but the strongest ebay seo factors are sales and dsr'S so lower prices super low to move some product to get sales and tsr and slowly move price up as you move up rankings.

What I mean is customised products like pet name engraved tags.

Would it ok to list the engraved dog name tags as...
Labrador Name Tags
German Shepherd Name Tags
Collie Dog Name Tag
...
.....

You know the same thing, just described slightly differently 200 times.

Then if I've got 200 of these name tags listed does it follow that I'll have more exposure and hopefully sell more of them?

Or, will ebay just show my best selling name tag that has the lowest DSR?

The more keywords and more items for sale there more likely someone will buy.
As long as the titles, descriptions and preferably the pictures are different you will have zero issues with duplicate listing policy.
