ioffer success?
 

What kind of success rate have you guys had by selling on iOffer? Unfortunately, they don't have a view completed items feature like feeBay so it's hard to tell if it would be worth my time to try it.

Also, someone mentioned that it seems like they have a lot of knockoffs on there. I just read that they have a program similiar to feeBay's Vero called C.O.P.S. Is it not strictly enforced?

Hello all,

I was just getting geared up to start selling more... I had purchased a line of MAC pigments. I chose this line because I saw that they were selling like hotcakes. Before I could get started, ebay suddenly suspended a slew of the makeup sample sellers. I now have this huge collection of expensive makeup, and am looking for a way to sell it. It seems samples would be the best, but I could sell the whole, new jars.

I started a new account to sell this product and was trying to build feedback when they suspended that account.

I was once excited about what ebay could do for me, now I am starting to view it as not being worth while. I think many others will start having this view also, and ebay will loose business. Ebay forgets that sellers are also buyers. And outside buyers are attracted to a wide selection of products at bargain prices. So if ebay begins to hurt its sellers regularly, their business will decline.

I am a stockholder of ebay, and they are not doing that well. I am in the process of selling their stocks. I believe these errors that ebay is making in the treatment of their CUSTOMERS (both buyers and sellers) is making a new opportunity for a new leader to rise in this industry. I believe this will further spur the decline of ebay.

i think if google gets an auction site...that there will be competion..ebay is very harsh casue there the only ones in the game right now...once a competitor like google rises it will be a new game. google is rising too...there becoming bigger...i gurantee they will ahve an auction site in a few years and they will be competing with paypal and ebay:cool:

Not true! googgle has a huge war chest to get the ball rolling. Yahoo used to be the nearest compitition but they didnt advertise. google needs to do an advertising and PR blitz, it could be bigger better and profitable within 3 years, assuming ebay stays their corse of poor customer relations and even poorer business partnerships.

LMAO I know this is an older thread but I just HAD to bump it. That parody is freakin hilarious! The thing I don't like about other sites. No enough bidders make sellers have high prices and ebay is nothing like that. :( sadly. No feedback and most are scamming to get your money without producing product. Ebay has gotten disgusting but I don't think they will ever be another ebay, again sadly.

I agree I know I tried other auction sites and I got sheit for bids and no bites or watchers or anything. I pop something on ebay within an hour or so I got questions and watchers galore and bidders also.

What people don't realize (poor advertising maybe?) is that google already HAS something in place--though it's not really an auction site. Google Base allows you to advertise your item at a set price and even allow offers. Though I have yet to figure out how to effectively reach the masses, and they have a HUGE problem with their servers only accepting mass listings to appear on Google Products at the moment.

The problem I've always had with Ioffer is that I get a lot of hit and run buyers there. Meaning, they hit, make an offer and don't seem to wait for a counter offer or a response. A lot of zero feedback parties seem to dance in and out. For all I know, they could be just scouting prices for their ebay listings?? Anyone else have this experience?

Jack that is because there are so many sellers there that can offer really cheap cheap items because most of sellers are from china
