MAC Address change
O hai.
So my provider is VM and as we all know, the IP address doesn't change when switching it ON/OFF. So I have followed a guide in this forum and bought myself a Netgear router and I plug them in, change the MAC Address and then reset the VM, get a new IP and I'm off to the races.
BUT, here's the question:
I change my MAC Address by changing the last two digits at the end. 01 becomes 07 and 07 becomes 10 etc.
Most of the times I get the same IP address that matches the IP that I got last time when I changed the two digits, but sometimes I get totally different IP.
Is this normal or should I worry about it?
PS:
I record every single IP that I have used and it's listed together with the PC user that I used it with. So that User A might have 3 different IP addresses but these IP addresses will not be used with User B.
