How much do you think big ebay stores make daily?
 

I use to get about 5 - 10 bucks a day (usually on good days) but i only had 1 - 2 listings, not thousands like eforcity. So i was thinking and well i wonder how much they make daily? i was thinking between 1,000 - 2,000. How much do you think they make daily?

Have you ever tried terapeak? It will tell you how much a seller brings in, in sales.

You can use trial version for free, give it a go. Changed my whole business and pricing.

30K a day is nothing for a big seller.

But more importantly is the NET.
My biggest $$$ accounts make me the smallest amount of NET.

I have been watching many accounts on ebay especially in electronics and terapeak is the best tool out there. Eforcity for example on 1 of his accounts makes 1m in sales in 3 months with profit of 30%-50%. He has 4 accounts as far as I know and website along with 2 amazon accounts. I reckon reading somewhere that he makes 40m/year out of all those ventures. But there are far greater accounts than eforcity out there.

Yea net is key when talking about the overall bigger picture.

My first job was at Bestbuy and if you looked at gross compared to actual net profit on any given day you would be shocked on how the different the totals add up.

Net is where its at.

I am definitely no big time ebay seller....i gross in about 50 to 75k in gross sales my net profit margin is roughly about 20-30% of my gross sales. These are just rough estimates because its unpredictable when you have to deal with potential returns....

the big time ebay sellers you can see how much sales they gross in yes.....but you don't see the underlying picture on where they got their inventory.....whats their cost of goods sold....and their profit margin.....its a mystery...

Employees, insurance and real estate to hold your goods add up mighty quickly. Add in the cost of holding inventory and cost of raising capitol and those expenses can become exorbitant.

Terapeak only worth it if you have a good well established ebay account with big enough funds coming in bigcasey

Well, he has 180 employees for example and has a warehouse etc. His expenses are 50-70% and according to my assumption he makes 30%-50%, which is a great number. The guy is slacking though, he could have expanded in many areas and dominated many niches but he sells big variety where is not so visible. For example his gross sales on the same acc last year were 2.5m.

Depends on why you are analyzing. It can be one of the best educations you can get! Can be eye opening and mind expanding.

I started my business 3 years ago from 0... And last year sold $600k on my personal account and $200k using stealth accounts.. With 2 employees.
Net=30%
