I am trying to sell some items to build up some feedback on 2 stealth accounts but I cant sell my first items. I have listed a wallet twice on one account and a book(popular novel) twice on another.
the second time I listed both items starting at 99c and free shipping and didn't sell, only had a few views.. auctioned ended in afternoon time.
Would it be the type of items I am trying to sell? Or any advice?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
In my experience, wallets are not a popular item on ebay, not sure about books. I found that items that you really cant get on the high street are the best sellers.
Just browse around , you can see exactly what sells, that's one good thing when an item is hot, you can see, all the watchers, and the last 100 sales and the time period of those 100 sales
EBay even marks hot listings by putting in red on the listing "hot selling item"
Best day to end is a Sun evening, about 8 pm.
If your selling dollar store items on ebay your going to have to start lower then 0.99
people know a cheap item when they see one
Sell something that you KNOW is more valuable than £1 and just bite the bullet. It's short term sacrifice for long term success.
Also, try to aim for Sunday evening end times. My own experience tells me that I sometimes sell even more on a Monday evening and I think it's because then there are less auctions active. But who knows, rite?

Or there is this tool terapeak.com where you can find what time of the day certain products sell, at highest price and the length of the auction. Dont listen to any speculations as each product has its buyers.

Terapeak is one of the few tools to work with along with just researching completed listings for example.
The ending time of Sunday evening as a hint is a good one
I'm watching this, as I occasionally will have an item with very few bids/views. I figured it just took too long to index, as I only run .99 starting bid 24 hour auctions. I'll relist and it will go as normal(normal meaning ending at an acceptable price with lots of bids).
I usually run about 30 auctions a day, and may have one of these cases a week(so low percentage).

Don't mean to thread jack, but can eBay see my Terapeak account name? I just made a terapeak account in my name which is about a different name that one my eBay account.
If I like the eBay account to Terapeake will that cause a problem?
