Competitor Creating Accts and Winning My Items without Paying

I listed an expensive item (between $400 and $600).

An Ebayer with 0 Feedback wins it, BIN. Doesn't pay.

I relist it.

A different Ebay ID with 1 feedback wins it. Doesn't pay.

I relist same item.

A different Ebay ID with 0 FB wins it. Doesn't pay.

I relist the item.

A different Ebay ID w/ 1 FB wins it. Paid by echeck and I'm waiting for the check to clear.

Now I've relisted the item for the 4th time.

All the above accounts were created the same day of purchase.

Obviously this must be a competitor sabotaging my sales, right?

Coincidentally, I became a Power Seller on this account recently, maybe yesterday or the day before, I forget. Not sure if that has something to do with it.

I'm selling over ten other items and it's only happened on this item.
Also, will this count towards my sales limit ($27,000) if I report each buyer for non-payment?

Try this,

"In the Decide how you'd like to be paid section of the listing form, select the option to Require immediate payment when buyer uses Buy It Now."

signal63 makes the right tip.

As for your limit...once the auction is cancelled/closed for non-payment, if should not count towards your sales limit for the month

The 0 FB could be a competitor or just someone without knowing how to add that PP account. I would add the "require immediate payment" when using the BIN option. At least that way, you can weed out any potential asses or dumb asses.

Set your payments to be immediate as mentioned and also go to site preferences and adjust your buyer requirements , make them as strict as you can and it will cut out a lot of this nonsense

Thank you all for your replies.

Dmshark, I've had my buyer requirements set to be as strict as permitted by Ebay, but it still lets "buyers" with 0 FB buy even when they created their account the same day of purchase.

A solution I did was to list this item twice, by modifying the title slightly. This way you can list this same item in two listings, so this offender will need to do more work to take me down. Example:

Widget 2.0 Black (Brand New) BIN: $523.52

Widget 2.0 Black (NEW in BOX) BIN: $519.99

I think theoretically I could create 10 listings for the same item with less effort than this offender would need to create 10 accounts to purchase all ten.

I don't see any "require immediate payment" option. Maybe that's only when it's an auction listing.

EDIT: Require immediate payment isn't an option on my listing because I don't have a Premier or Business ebay account.

Maybe you should run some of your listings as an auction.

In the "buyer requirements" section it allows you to block Buyers who may bid on several of your items and not pay for them:

1) Block buyers who are currently winning or have bought 1 of my items in the last 10 days.

2) Only apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score of 0
or lower.

If you were running the listings as auctions you would be able to block this guy...

Running it as an auction might be the solution.
Thanks, Nostro.

I agree with everyone else on this one. Require immediate payment when using buy it now. That will take care of the non payment bs.

1. Buyer requirements, always.
2. Immediate payment, always.
3. It will not count towards your limit.

I have been getting this lately on my $500/mo account.... the item worth nearly $300... more than 3 times already had someone purchased the item , paid for it right away, then request to cancel the purchase immediately. These account had either 0 or 1 feedback... with the same excuses. and yes, this does count toward my limitation and my 30 cent BIN inserting fee....
