Ebay automatic limit raise through phone
 

I still consider myself to be new when it comes to stealth accounts and I have never heard or came across anyone mentioning this.

I made a stealth account a while back and the limit was set to $500/mo , it remained the same for 3 months.. The first time I called in, the rep asked for my DOB, I hesitated and hung up because ebay didn't ask for my DOB when i first sign up.... today is the 4th month since my account has been created, so I decided to give them a call again to verify my account and hopefully to get a raise. Surprisingly, the machine automatically OFFERED a raise to $1000/mo without even transferring me to a rep. I'm trying to build this account slowly so I accepted it and hung up. I'm guessing this is how it going to be for all those who have received a SET limit and required to call in 30 days...i will try this again next month on my other account.

Congrats on your lift but Id rather let my accounts grow naturally :D

True but for those who get limit right off the bat, they don't have a choice but to call in and provide bogus infos for verification... they will lift the limit, however, seller will be required to call in again after 30 days for them to raise it manually.

Well today I reinstated my old account. My very first account that was made in 2005.

I have no limits on them. Basically it is unlimited account.

My success always has been with eBay Live Chat. I have always managed to get limits upto 500 a month.

That's a shame. Live chat does good in UK.

In this case. I would just it raise naturally.

Hey Yankee, on some of my new US stealth accounts, the LIVE CHAT is available when you are in the process of listing an item. However, they will still require for you to call in regarding to selling limits.

OK I set up my first stealth account and they limit me to 5 sales for the month. I posted my 5 items and three will sell. The month ends in a couple of days. I set up account midmonth (February). My question is will I only be able to list 5 next month? Also should I use my non stealth account to buy the other two items I have listed to seed my paypal account? When will my limits be raised, or do I need to call and ask. I have ALL of the info for the count, name, address, dob, etc.

not sure if using a second account to purchase your own item is necessary because my item was not sold and I still got a raise. If you never had to call in to lift the 0/0 limit from DAY 1, then I'd suggest to wait it out. Your limit will most likely to raise somewhere around march 20th. As others has stated on here, let it increase on its own and avoid calling in.

Someone else mentioned this is the case when you first list an item but then it goes away shortly after right?

I have never noticed it on any of my new accounts, but honestly, I wouldn't. Not like I need help loading an image lol

It happens when you use their basic listing features on the accounts and not the advanced tools

In any case, they ask you if they can call the number on the account to walk you through the process most of the time lol.
