Does the buyer or seller send feedback first?
 

Who should leave feedback first, buyer or seller?

I sent my first item to a buyer and tracked it and can see it has been delivered a couple of days ago but have not received and word back.

Should I message this guy and ask him for feedback or just leave him feedback?

Normally I just leave it.


Anyone can damage your DSR.
I just leave it and always set up my auto feedback in place

I agree, I always left feedback asap 'cos I felt it was a good way to encourage the buyer to do the same.

Personally I always leave feedback soon after payment has cleared.

I do not leave a feedback unless I receive a feedback first. No feedback is always better then any feedback. Buyers are stupid. They will leave a bad feedback without even realizing they are doing so.

I don't leave feedback at all unless it can be automated on an ebay tool, so no feedback on stealth accounts.

I try to do that as well because if they say something negative then you can always bark back at them.

Well, yes and no. If you bark back at them, they can report you in a blink of an eye. It's against the rules.

The only reason I do it, is to prevent buyers from accidentally leaving a low star rating.

You have to be pretty stupid to "accidentally" leave negative feedback though.

I know exactly what your saying though....

It just blows my mind because when you try to leave neutural/negative feedback because it warns you before doing so.....

Gotta love the ever so nice neutral "great seller a+"

Sure, gotta be stupid to do that, but leaving low star ratings doesn't take very much effort.
