Is it theoretical possible eBay can see our mac address?

I'm running three accounts thanks to all you fine folks. Two accounts are maxed on inventory and third is in standby.

Main account is on my home ip address, but I spoofed mac address on router to change ip. I don't use that ip for nothing but the main account and pay pal.

Now other two accounts are run through the cell phone usb tether. Bouncing airplane mode off and on changes ip address. Which eBay shouldn't be bother with, because on 4g cellular ip always change. One min Im in NJ, then philly, then La. Its just the way 4g is. Finds the first available node to connect to and it connects. Doesn't matter where you are.

Now my concern is, will eBay see mac address of cell phone modem?

Short term solution is I have a tablet 4g and cell 4g. I use the cell for one account and tablet for the other.

So if I use cell for both accounts ip can I be linked? Or am I safe?

Hi,

No the MAC Address would only be seen unless you was actually at ebay :-) it is a layer 2 technology and is dropped at the first router it hits.

Its the same for anything you do on the internet, we all communicate globally via an IP Address. MAC Address's are only for obtaining IP's in your home or on internal networks really.
