usps.com shipping
 

Im thinking of eliminating the shipping tool on eBay. Think of using usps site and then upload tracking info to eBay. This way I can use my real address for a return address to eliminate issues.

Any points of why I shouldn't?

Reason being is I cant find a po box that will allow me access for a stealth account. PO is telling me they will reject any mail from a individual not on the po box. ANd Im being told I cant add any users wo picture id.

And the local ups store said I need picture id of everyone who's mail is going there.

Your thoughts?

I have stuff that goes to a PO Box with the wrong name on it. Either they are fibbing or your state does things differently than mine.

If you go to USPS.com, you cannot print off first class labels....unless they have changed something in the last 6 months.

You can always use stamps.com. They will sell first class postage.

Ups store told me no, they would refuse. and same with po. So Im stuck really. Only thing is buy postage elsewhere.

Im going to try something tomorrow. Im going to talk to my loal usps employee and see if he will allow "returns dept" some other people suggested.

But still doesnt solve the fact if the po rejects a package and it gets bounced.

If your worried about returns from buyers, just purchase the return postage if u have a return and email it to the Buyer, that way you can use your real return address without entering anything into eBay

All you have to do is have the packages delivered with the name of a company. Whatever you want.

I have had at least 5-6 PO box at different locations and all accepted packages under diff name.. maybe try mailing yourself a letter to the PO BOX under a different name and see if it works.

The scoop I found today was, it has to be listed under the authorized users on the po when yoiu sign up. SO basically "returns dept" would have to be listed. Or "john smith". And if in name other than "returns" or "return dept" you would have to have picture idea of person picking up, i.e "john smith" . But doesnt apply to "returns" or "returns dept" for some reason. This is what I was told when I haunted three po's today. All said the same and the one I trust, because I been dealing with him three years.

What is do is simply black out the return printed on the label then put a white return address with my address on it .this has worked well for me .one thing is to make sure you put the shipped from zipcode on EB to what ever zipcode your in no matter what address you have listed I have my shipped from zip in texas and my eb address is listed in florida knock on wood its been working finefor years
