It usually will take 90 days of a successful track record of,selling in your category

Just sell as much as you can in that category and than when u hit the limit you will usually get a message about "90 days from your first sale" something along these lines.

And once you pass that 90 day mark from your first sale the category limits along with paypal holds are usually lifted

I think it's been 2 months now they had this option and it's great, I have an item that is really hot, and when I run out the listing is still there and as soon as I add inventory within a few hours it starts selling really quick

No need to raise prices or worry about running out

Although I was aware of the out of stock feature since it came out, I didn't know that sales pick up quickly again.

The way my system is currently setup it was easier for me to just raise prices. The items I sell fast moves fast so when i'm running low on stock with multiple listings it doesn't spread out the quantities evenly, so I would over sell easily. The dilemma is real.

I have work around, i might as well just give out of stock control another go. Thanks DM

Ebay is a whole new beast the past two years.

That's also true..

Maybe they will change the algorhytm in the future.. I am sure ebay looses customers by this system

EB doesn't care if you're cheapest on the block. Ebay cares what it makes off each sale.

Price point is just one of many factors in how it decides who it shows in search.

Ask yourself: if I were EB whose product would I promote more in search - a $2 gizmo that sells 10% of the time over the past month, or the same gizmo priced at $4 that sells 88% of the time over the past two years?
