HELP- My listings got removed!!!

Okay first of all, my friend has been an Ebay member since 2004. She has over 300 positive feedbacks with 0 negative feedbacks. Her Paypal account is fine, etc.

We began listing Chi flat irons. The first one sold with much success. Then, we listed more (5) to be exact but we scheduled the auctions in 30 min. intervals for 7 day listing.

Then, today we got an email that stated that the listings were removed. There was not the word VERO mentioned anywhere. However, it stated that Farouk (the manufacturer) of the irons notified Ebay about the listing. We did nothing wrong except using stock pictures and a few wordings from the website of the irons.

There are 1,000 of these items on there at any given time. We really want to sell these, especially through Christmas because we can make really big $!!!

I think maybe the pictures or the wording got us noticed, but I am not sure. I have read about VERO, but the email from ebay said nothing of that. It stated: "This listing violates intellectual property rights. When eBay receives a report of this type of violation, we remove the listing to comply with the law." And, then it went on to say something about trademark infringement.

Please tell me what we should do. I don't want this account being in trouble or shut down. It is a very old one with good marks.

Thanks!

Did you make the listings with your own wording(other then specs) and own pictures?

You were selling a highly counterfeited item.

No I used only stock pics. Some was my wording but mostly specs from the website. I know that most everything is counterfieted, but there are 1,000 of these on Ebay at 1 given time. Why was mine targeted? There are 100's from China going strong and no one is removing them. And, I'm sure they are ⊗⊗⊗⊗!

If you used the manf. pictures and some of their wording then this got you in trouble..all you need to do is use your own pictures and your own wording as much as possible and you should be fine. This happened to me once before because I used the manafacturers picture and wording.

Another big thing to look at is you listed only one the first time, with no previous sales of them, which makes it look like you might have just had one you wanted to sell, maybe you received one as a gift and didn't need it, etc. When you list 5 directly after that, then it shows you have more than a few of them and when this company sees you have 5 listed, it throws up a flag. I would suggest listing them on different accounts in spread time intervals. A single iron on each account. I can't guarantee success, but you'll have a better chance...
