EBAY Private messages
 

I am not naive in thinking that EBAY will not see private messages on their system.

I assume they don't have humans sitting at a PC reading through every single message. However, have bots to highlight anything sinister in the content to bring it to their attention? For example another weblink to a external or another online auction website!

I have some products on EBAY on Stealth. Though often get silly offers. Sadly can't oblige on EBAY, as the fees way too high. However, I can oblige on another auction site where my shop is and the fees are far lower & profit margins the same.

I am not stupid enough to put a direct link in as the bots will probably pick that up.

However, if I put in the private message in text google (name of my store) then click the google link.

Would that get picked up by the bots you think?

All sorts of variations get picked up by the bots. This is why it is so damn hard to even put your email address in a message to someone. Even putting [dot] [com] or dot kom or d.0t k0mm or some crazy thing like that, it's still a struggle.

You can experiment all you like but it is a pretty rough violation of eb policy if you are caught....

I hate how eBay doesn't allow you to put your email. It pisses me off man.

They want to make sure that you don't steal the buyer and just send them a invoice from PayPal or completely cut them out and direct them to your website if you have

Of course...why would they want to lose their 10% cut!?

Oh yes I acknowledge probably the ultimate suspension as I'll be doing them out of their money!

Then again if they wasn't so greedy with fees then maybe I wouldn't be thinking of these ideas in the first place!

Been abusing the messaging system for a longtime never had one problem.
