Question about buyers and shipping

I have like 20 iPhones for sell, some works perfectly and some just for pieces because they have something broken glass, power button, etc.

I'm wondering, how can I make sure that my auction goes well without problem? I have detailed every phone as much as I can but still but the buyer could easily say that item not as described and eBay will refund him and I will lose all my iPhones? Also, the buyer could easily say he didnt receive the shipment even with tracking or say that I sent him a brick instead of phones and wants a refund. How can I protect myself against all of that as a buyer.

So my questions are;

1- What to do if the buyer say item not as described? even though, everything is perfect
2- What to do if he says he didnt receive phones, but a books for example... (hes lying obviously)
3- What to do he says he never received the merchandise even if I had tracking.

thx

Re: Question about buyers and shipping

There is no way to protect yourself 100%.

Whenever I sell an item above $75, I always use signature confirmation. It eliminates the "I never received it" factor.

If a buyer claims not as described, then the most likely outcome is that eBay will tell the buyer to return the item for a refund.

If the buyer says you sent him a brick instead of a phone, you really cannot prove you sent him a phone. Fortunately there are not too many of these buyers.

At the end of the day, you cannot completely avoid the scammers, so you have to be able to take a hit once in awhile.

What if the listing I specifically said there were no refund and its a final sale and that the iPhone's are as is. Can eBay still tell the buyer to send back the merchandise for a refund ?

Also, I gave 100/5000 limit. Although, this account is my brother account and he has it for like 2 years... He never sold an item on it, he just bought stuff. Do you guys think I can sell iPhones without being checked ? They are used... And I just want to get rid of them.

Apple is very strict and if your not a authorized apple dealer I think your allowed to sell somthing like 2 phones a month

But even if they allow you to sell more if it goes unnoticed apple is very active and will flag the account, or you will need to provide invoices

In all honesty, id keep them OFF ebay... the potential for being scammed is just too great.

Why not try craigslist or Kijiji?

iPhones are quite risky for the health of the account.. I wouldn't risk 1 account 2 years old for it. Perhaps ...PERHAPS...if you have solid back ups going...can't be 100% sure though

There is no such thing as "no refunds" with eBay. If a buyer does not like the item, they can use eBay Buyer Protection to get their money back. It will not matter how you word your listing.

Re: Question about buyers and shipping

If you sell something on eBay, be it Apple, Blackberry, Samsung or whatever and you list it as not working or for parts, then you probably will not have too many problems. Where people have problems is when they want to get creative and use wording like:

"These have not been tested, so I don't know if they work or not so buy at your own risk. no refunds."

You will not get much more by listing it this way, but your accounts could take some hits because a buyer might figure he will take a chance because the phone probably works and purchase it. When he gets the item and it does not work, his attitude will change and he will want a refund. It sounds crazy, but people are like that.

Also, I agree with BigCJ, I think craigslist might be the way to go with these.
