USPS tracking not updated
 

I have some packages sent by priority mail last Monday. All packages are delivered except one which does not have any tracking updated. It only shows pre shipment info sent to USPS.

I add signature requirement and insurance to the package. Buyer has not received package so far. What shall I do in this situation? I filed a claim with USPS, but since there is no any tracking information updated, is that possible it got lost even before arrived postal office?

I used pick up service from USPS and it was mailman came to my place to pick up the packages.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You would have to call the post office to find out what happened and even THEY may not be able to tell you. It is possible the package was dropped by accident before it got to the post office and someone picked it up. If that is the case, it is gone. But it could be something else too, so don't panic.

I tried their pickup service a year ago for two weeks and had over 8 packages just disappear in those couple weeks , never again, now I always bring to the post office

I'm not sure if they are stealing the packages or what but it's ridiculous how many just go missing

I would NEVER EVER EVER use pickup service. I dont care if its USPS, UPS or FedEx. I need to KNOW where I put my packages. All they have to say is "no, he didnt give anything to me" and youre screwed and theyre off scott free. Besides, USPS never has their **** together...always screwing up package deliveries and whatever else. Ever see a package arrive mangled beyond belief with no contents? Welcome to USPS.

I use both Canada Post and USPS a lot since I am on the border and I pray on USPS for their excellent service, swifty deliveries, and absolutely amazing prices. Imagine how slow and expensive Canada Post is. So, you guys should be greatful as you would be shocked how in the rest of the world postal services work.

USPS is really good, but they have a service where they will come and pick up the packages from your house, and for some reason they just lose packages from your house to the post office and they never get scanned in, it's terrible , Id have to think its due to some theft

A whole year I may of list one package and the 2 weeks I tried where they pick up from your house 8 packages went missing

I always drove to the usps site and kept the receipt for atleast a week, sometimes the tracking # doesn't get updated and even if the customer already got the package it will not be updated as delivered, and yeah there are some dbags out there that know this and will claim it never got delivered.

Last year I got burned multiple times with USPS pickup. Same thing packages vanished into thin air. Since it was never scanned once you will lose insurance claim.

Since then I always take them myself. A trolly and bins full all at once. Now they let me put them right in the back. If I wanted they will give me scanner to scan myself.

Now I never have lost packages anymore. Coincidence? I think not!

If you have a mailman you are familiar with and trust it is worth while. Personally I have one or two specific post offices I drop off at. 10 years into this for my larger geographic area I know the places I do and don't trust.

From my personal experience. I absolutely would not schedule a pick up if you are not there. I had one mail man who I use to leave the flag up on the box and if nothing was there he knew to look behind my gate if I was gone. If it was somebody else on the route they wouldn't know.

It takes time and experience. Unfortunately, even though it is USPS not all carriers and post offices seem to be the same.
