Ok guys be honest with me. Does ebay really look at your ID on some kind of database they have?

Yep, they verified mine today. But surprisingly didnt link me to my old account. Now at 100/5000

What do you mean didnt link you to your old account? I'm confused. Did your old account get banned? so you just used a new IP with all your same info?

They have like 2 stages of checking the ID. First is just a quick review through first line support, which can sort out obviously wrong docs. Sometimes ID are sent to the second line check (randomly, or when they decide to do so), which uses a service similar to IDScan to check if it is good or not. But still, there is no ID checking service in the world, that has access to government-issued ID databases around the world, so they are able to check it only visually, using very sophisticated techniques though.

yes they check your id. they won't just ask you for the heck of asking

Just wondering if after submitting these documents if anyone has ever been asked to provide additional documents? My experience has been no, but just wondering others experiences.
