Address change question
 

ok so I'm moving from a northern state to a down south state. I have two stealth accounts with addresses up here. I manage each account on a separate iPhone with a mobile hotspot for a different IP.
I'm trying to figure out when I should change the addresses for the accounts. Both of the accounts are over 3 months old and I sell about 10-15 items a month on each with no problems as of yet.
I'm guessing the hotspot will give me a IP address for the new state I'm in once I get there? or will it still give me a northern state IP because that's where it's regesitered? its a Verizon mifi.
Also how should I go about picking a new address for the accounts? I plan on using my new address for one of them, but what about the second?

well both addresses need to be different.
No one will give you advice on where to get the addresses from as this forum is viable to EVERYONE, and giving this info will put the address at risk of being burned with ebay.

There are PLENTY of forwarding addresses you can use in the USA.

As Bunneh said both IP addresses will need to be different (from each other). The IP's for your iPhones will indeed change when you move out of state. People go out of their state and log in all the time so that in itself will probably not cause any major issues. The best way to keep an IP is for you to look into obtaining your own fixed IP address for each account - then programming it into each phone (or computer) under your VPN settings. Then your would start your hotspot first - then hit your VPN button (on your phone or computer) to connect to your fixed IP address. That way it will appear to 'the powers that be' that you have the same IP address all the time whether you're in Texas or Bermuda. Good luck!

I would wade in the water slowly......I'd change one to a semi local address and if after 90 days, all is ok........I'd change the other........

I have not had any issues with changing addresses for myself or customers who have bought accounts from me. I think you will be fine changing them. I would stagger them a little though.

Your MIFI device should start grabbing IP address from local towers. Even if it does not, I have not had issues with IP addresses being too far from the residing state. Even using your phones as a hotspot should still be grabbing signal from a tower close by, not the tower closest to where you bought service.

On your second address, if it was me, I would pick some local business or an address you have access to, especially since this is an address change.

Tricky spot changing IPs...specially Paypal in my experience. I think it is more dangerous to change IPs than changing an address. Best of luck to you.

My tethering IP's are usually from different states and I haven't had any problems with that. Best of luck with your move
