request a refund of my eBay credit balance?
 

Hi Everyone,

I am having a problem with a Sony Camcorder i sold.

a buyer purchased the camcorder from me on March 10th, he never paid so i decided to relist the camcorder and i sold it the next day.

The 1st Buyer sent me the funds on March 14th and i had to refund the buyer and cancel the order. I emailed him the day he purchased to see when he was going to send payment but he never replied back. so i figured he wasn't going to pay.

I am now trying to find out how i can get the $56 fee refunded back to me.


I'm not sure if i should call ebay, as that wouldn't be a good idea as it can bring unwanted attention to my account.

What should i do?

For the second listing you would need to open up an unpaid item case to get your fee back.

The buyer paid, I basically had 2 buyers for 1 item

The 1st buyer waited 3 days before making payment, so i decided to relist the item as i figured he wasnt going to pay, then i sold it to a diffrent buyer and he paid. then the 1st buyer made the payment on the 4th day

I have had this happen in the past where a buyer never paid.

Are your fees not automatically refunded? They are in the UK.

You will need to contact ebay. They can do it if you provide the refund trasaction number from paypal.

Right so they have both paid and you had to cancel one.

I am not sure what the eBay fee situation is in the US in situations like this, but in the UK you will need to buyer to agree to cancel the sale. You may well still have some if not all the EB fees to pay.

In future before re-listing an item you need to cancel the first sale or issue an unpaid item strike to prevent this happening.

I have my Policy set where Payment must be made within 3 days

You should be able to request a check, which may or may not work based on your account info

Unpaid case on the winning buyer who never paid you - if I understand your situation.

3 days is WAY too short of a waiting period...
