ebay purchased account question
 

Just a general question guys. say if I purchase an ebay/paypal account from a seller in the forum and the account was registered in another state. would using it with a totally off IP address(a ip from the state I live in now) incur problems with ebay/paypal and cause suspension? thanks!

If you talk to the seller who you want to buy an account from they will be in the best position to answer this question for you :thumb:

Good idea to speak to your seller. As a point of reference, I use different state IP for my US accounts and have not had issues. A LOT depends on your sales however...

I am not the seller of the account, but I never have issues with IP address & physical address. This includes my personal accounts, which have been operational for over 2 years and accounts sold to buyers. Some buyers will speculate that it is important, but really all that matters is that you have a US IP address and US address.

IP addresses can be generated so many different ways by different providers. Phone tethering and MIFI devices can grab a signal from 4 states away lots of times, especially if they are using a 3G signal. Your service provider doesnt always show as local. My service provider show signal from about 2 hours away from my home. Last week it was showing coming from my actual city. I am sure there are some service providers that get IPs from other service providers stretching even further.

So, I do not think IP address should be a huge concern. Of course if it is ever questioned, you can always say you are using a MIFI device because you travel a lot.

Topic been addressed many times.

No issues should happen so long as the IP is within the USA.

Make sure you have your user account and cookies in place.

Before you make payment, ALWAYS confirm with the seller anything you are worried about.

Ip should be in the same country, as the one used for registration. No questions asked. For US, state doesn't matter.

I use tethering. My IP often switches from state to state, which shouldn't be a problem as long as you are properly logging IP's.
