Possible Linking of Accounts question

Hello everyone,

I have a question. I may have linked my two accounts, but i am not certain. I record all of my IP addresses every time i log into any of my accounts. Today, i must have looked over one of the IP's and i logged into an account using an IP that was already used by another account within the last week. The other account no longer has that IP in use right now, but it has still been used by that account. So, when i accidentally logged into the account today, i was just logging in to make sure everything was okay ( checking for messages or anything). I literally just logged in. I did not search anything, list anything, or click on anything except sign in when i put my username and password in. My question is, did i link this account to the other account that already used this IP address. I apologize for any confusion. I appreciate any answers that can be given to me. Thanks everyone.

It is ok to log into a couple of accounts from a single IP. But did you do it from sepatate windows account, or via Incognito mechanism of web-browser, that does not store cache and cookies?

If only the IP is involved, one single link like yours is not an issue.

muzzie question, here above, is right, did you do it from a different machine/user?
If so, you are fine.
If you accidentally did it from the wrong account this is definitively a link.... might not be an issue but a little red fleg could have been risen.

I've done this by mistake a few times, and nothing happened, but I flagged the IP so I never use it again.

Probably won't ever be an issue unless you do something to draw attention to yourself.

Thank you for all of the answers. Yes, i did it from a separate user account. It is something so easy to do but it can cost you an account. I definitely wanted to make sure that it would not be an issue. So, everyone is in agreement that since i did it from a different user account, i should be fine?

Yes you fine. Also if you are just logging to see if you have msg. Why don't you just set up forwarding on the email that way you don't have to log into every account

Re: Possible Linking of Accounts question

I would recommend forwarding email like the above post, and also consider using Excel to log your IP's, and setting up conditional formatting to automatically show you if an IP is used or good. There is a spreadsheet on the forum that already has something like this setup.

They need more than the IP to actually limit your account. They need cookies, history etc.. to mixed together and bam! they ban you.
