Question about selling virtual items
 

I would really like to start selling runescape accounts on ebay (yes there's a market). Unfortunately it's not allowed, but my idea was to sell a piece of paper and offer the runescape account as a gift (most sellers use song lyrics instead of real items but that's stupid). This way i can also mail the piece of paper (which would provide safety due to the tracking #) and make money from my runescape account.


My question is, is this allowed? are you allowed to offer virtual gifts? i was still gonna mail the paper just for security (incase they opened a case).

eBay will eventually shut an account doing that down

I've seen lots of guys selling printed posters, that are close to the game theme. Like, if it is a fantasy game, they sell a quality poster with a nicely looking dragon. Game account is mentioned like a free gift. But I am not sure if it is working or not.

Virtual goods are always risky - you can try it out but you might need to spread it over multiple accounts. Also need to protect yourself from ppl charging back or defrauding you

Moreover, selling accounts other than on specified platforms, is usually forbidden by game creators, so MC999 can occur as well.
