Re: Managing eBay & Your Full-time Job

Very informative thread. I too am finding I am spending too much time on EBAY. I make about $2000 profit a month but only make about $3-12 profit an item. I make 5 times that at my regular job and have to work 35 hours a week at that. I started doing for fun but my items pretty much took off.

My questions:

1. How much do you make on EBAY?
2. How do you get around the tax deal if you make $125-150K
3. I just found a supplier for internet fax labels that save me 30 cents a label. I pay 7 sents, what do you pay.
4. Where can you buy cushioned envelopes cheaper than Walmart (44 cents each)
5. What is your best category, dont care about what item just category. I sell only Hobby stuff that I custom make. Only takes 3-4 minutes to customized and make 5-20 bucks for that work.
6. How many hours a day do you full time guys spend on EBAY.

Lot of questions just answer one or two, I am sure a lot of interested people besides me.

Having a job can be less stressful for sure. I sometimes do freelance marketing work, it's easy money but boring.Great thing is I can do it from anywhere

1. Enough to be travelling with my family and not working for 1.5 years
2. Accountant
3. Import from China (use thermal printer and labels), but for regular printer I never paid more than 5c/label and that's because I had it delivered to Canada instead of going to US myself. On this site my labels cost ~2c/label. Onlinelabels.com
4. Import from China or on eBay
5. Electronics
6. Happy people dont count time ::dance: Just to manage orders and do customer support 2 hours a day since everything is automated (shipstation, replymanager etc.).

Eastern Europe.....my costs here are approximately 6 or 7 times lower than London.

I'm a single guy currently and life is great here. If I was to become family orientated I might choose another country though.

There is no paying job in London I could ever get that would give me the same lifestyle as I have here. For the same price as a deposit on a flat in London I could buy the whole property here
